there,s a serious rivalry building up between these two clubs

It's all one sided if there is as Cross don't regard it as a serious rivalry.

What a joke of a championship down in Kerry , there nominating Legion to go forward and play Nemo but it was first going to be Dingle wtf? Kerry lads just run a champo like the rest of us and let the winner through ffs.

With the way club football is set up in Kerry its not hard to see why one of their clubs haven't won a senior club All Ireland since 1996.

But in all seriousness could they not have played extra time to get a winner on the day? Like why wasn't there extra time? Surely they knew they'd have a massive problem if there wasn't a winner on the day?

Kerry clubs have featured in 7 out of the last 10 Munster finals, winning 5, so it surely can't be that detrimental?

Who would be Crossmaglen's rivals in your view Tom?

I actually think the way senior football is done in Kerry should be a template for others. Ok - they got caught this year, but so did waterford and Laois. At least Kerry were in the All Ireland final.

The Kerry system allows every footballer in the county who is up to the standard to play in the senior championship. They also play lots of knockout football competitions, county championship, county club championship (Senior, Junior, Intermediate), regional championships and league football.

Any wonder they have a big selection of players and always find guys who can deliver under pressure. They also have a great record in the All Ireland Junior and and intermediate championship. If every county set up like Kerry they would have more of a challenge at intercounty.

Tom1916, there has been a good rivalry between these2 clubs for the last few years, I'm not saying cross our afraid of kilcoo but they have a huge respect for them and vice verse and the games against each other have been of a very high standard reason i would encourage people from outside these clubs to go to the game, to say there,s not a rivalry there is way off the mark.

Seemingly Rule 6.24 (a) of the GAA's Official Guide states in black and white that "in the event of a County or Provincial Championship not being completed, the respective Provincial or All-Ireland Championship shall continue without a representative of the county or province concerned." This would mean that in the absence of a Kerry county champion, no-one would go ahead to represent Kerry. I wonder what's going to happen.

Every team is a rival to every other team, that's sport. Cross have no special rivalry with kilcoo and why would they have, there's no history there.

Last 4 in this order in leinster:

1.Portlaoise will win it if they can keep tuohy,if not lomans will win it)
2.St.Lomans Mullingar(dark horses,have a quality team,are good enough to win leinster)
3.Emmet Og(very talented group, not to be under rated)
4.Ballyboden(the weakest of the lot for me,won't beat lomans)

How strong is Munster the last decade though? UCC a college side reached a recent Munster senior final. You have to go back to 2002 (Nemo Rangers) since a club side Munster won the senior All Ireland.

That's a fair point, though Munster as a province is still leading the way with 17 AI titles, Ulster next with 12. I didn't realise University sides still competed in championship football. Do these players not play for their own clubs?

Funny, just this week Stephen Kernan spoke of his fondness of the "brilliant" rivalry with Kilcoo.

Where did you read that? If true that's called media speak because why on earth would they have a 'brilliant' rivalry? What is so brilliant about it compared to any other rivalry?
