Yes its a PR dream alright but are we going to see any good football? Ive never heard so much talk about a match that was so poor in quality. In fact Ive heard hardly any discussion on the football played during the match. There are so many side show the main stage has been lost. However it is hard not to be sucked in by all the hype, its the Dublin factor really. Im sure the hurling will have all the quality, albeit with less talking points.

It is true. However, people were entertained by it. Dublin were sublime v Longford and Kildare. Their football was top drawer stuff. They kicked some amazing scores. Their teamwork was immense. Ditto Mayo v Sligo. These games were not as interesting because though we had loads of quality, we had a dour games that people wanted to forget.

Hurling may have the more quality. However, it could be, like the Dublin v Longford game, all coming from the one side. Kilkenny beat Galway by 7 points this year in the championship already, 11 points in a replay last year and by 11 points in the replay in 2012. Again lots of quality in those games but not so much excitement. We are all hoping that there will be excitement on Sunday.

I doubt very much that it will be like Dublin v Longford. How could you make such a comparison

Hardly surprising that there is little interest in hurling. Its a rural game and its followers are busy brining on the land.
