Spillane is just a character at this stage and doesn't offer anything. effin (Fermanagh) - Posts: 39 - 03/08/2015 17:17:49 1763222 Link 0 |

Whelan, Curran and Dolan were all coming out heavily against the black card on last night's TSG. I agree with them, it's an utterly confusing addition to the game. Refs, players, fans, pundits - none of them seem to know when or where it should be applied. It was basically introduced because of Joe Brolly's hissy fit against Sean Cavanagh (by the way, Joe praised Killian Young's ruthlessness yesterday in fouling a Kildare player going through on goal, and not one member of the panel pulled him up about his Cavanagh rant from 2 seasons ago - are they scared of him or something?). ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 03/08/2015 17:51:42 1763249 Link 0 |
Tommy Carr kept saying yesterday that Kerry were going to blow Kildare away with their football not intensity like Donegal, Tyrone and Armagh(?) would. Now this was obviously a dig aimed at the Ulster teams but in doing so he also insulted the work rate of the Kerry team which was immense, dominating breaks, tackling and hunting in packs even when game was obviously won but Tommy didn't seem to notice this aspect of their play which was the platform that the exhibition they gave came from. benched (Tyrone) - Posts: 534 - 03/08/2015 19:12:33 1763300 Link 0 |
I hate the way every pundit on the Sunday game says we punch above our weight because we only have 60,000 people liven in the County.... hardcore (Monaghan) - Posts: 1366 - 03/08/2015 19:29:42 1763314 Link 0 |

Got lost in the controversy of the topic being discussed at the time but I thought it a bit pathetic from O'Rourke talking about Lee Keegan missing last years semi-final replay, okay it might not of been his most dynamic game but he was still there - were you not paid to talk and write about this match Colm? Yet some still repeat the utterings from these people as if it were gospel. benched (Tyrone) - Posts: 534 - 11/08/2015 16:56:21 1768248 Link 0 |
