I didn't like his misplaced arrogance. anyone with half a brain would see that tyrone are in a better place than derry this year.

Back in those days you derry ones done what you were told!

After this weekends provincial finals we have a clearer picture of what lies ahead for the rest of the summer. Going to change my tune slightly for predicted quarter final line up
Dublin v Cork
Kerry v Fermanagh
Mayo v Tyrone
Monaghan v Galway

If it wasn't for kerry's last gasp equaliser the first day out against Cork, we would have had a situation where the so called Big 4 from the last few years were on the same side of the draw.

Thank god for that last gasp score Pete Joe.. We don't want too many tough games before the final as we need to find a settled team and looks like we got our wish with what looks like a easy fixture of Westmeath/Fermanagh in the last 8. However if its Monaghan in the semi finals they could beat us if we are not tuned in.

The Top 12 and their league performance:
1.1 Dublin
1.2 Cork
1.3 Monaghan
1.4 Donegal
1.5 Mayo
1.6 Kerry
1.6 Tyrone

2.4 Galway
2.7 Westmeath
2.8 Kildare

3.1 Fermanagh
3.4 Sligo

7 Division 1 teams, 3 Division 2 teams and 2 Division 3 teams have made the final 12. Cork were the highest league placed county not to win their provincial title. Reflects on the tough task Kerry had to get to the quarter-finals.

On potential quarter-finalists, I expect the line-up to be as follows:

Kerry v Fermanagh or Westmeath (The 4A qualifier is 50-50.)
Dublin v Cork (Cork to bounce back with a win over Kildare.)
Monaghan v Tyrone (Tyrone are capable of making the semi-finals and even final.)
Mayo v Donegal (I don't think Galway are at the level yet to derail Donegal.)

Cork Tyrone and Donegal are qualifier counties capable of making the semi-finals. Provincial champions have done well these last few years. This year seems set up for one or two qualifiers to possibly cause an upset on the day.
