Monaghan - The Diesel Washer's ... again I ask, The Diesel Washer's what ??

Ah now c'mon s goldrick - some of the cheapest fuel North of the border comes from around Monaghan/Armagh. Just have to make sure you stick it in the washing machine to get the dye out.....

Like 2 bald men fighting over a comb...

Of course - anything pre 2003 might as well be the stone age as far as Tyrone are concerned. .

Looks like Cavan are way ahead of Derry and Antrim when it comes to using the apostrophe too.

SamOnErrigal agree. In the last 50 years cavan have won 3 of their 37. Considering the current derry board was only set up in 1929 and Cavan had won 12 ulsters at that stage. Im sure some other counties are similar. I dont think any pre WW2 stats and figures can honestly be looked at when sizing up teams considering very few people are alive who saw it.

But just with the Russian Tzars , Cavan's aristocracy has come to an end!

Oh, I can go back much further than that. For instance, I know that Down have won 2 Ulster titles in the last 34 years, while Cavan have won 1 in the last 46.

Your use of nee-naw suggests you know well what I'm talking about. If not, then check out Gary Mc's post and then the follow up by Offside_Rule.

Looks like we are in the midst of a major clampdown by the grammar police Offside, I'd better warn hill16man to stay off the board for a few days until the dust has settled a little.

Cavan haven't won an All-Ireland in over 60 years and still have 2 more than Tyrone. You boys are minnows compared to Cavan and Down.

Sorry Skellig, you are going to have to spell it out to this ignoramus from the Glens. I have looked at my two comments and not sure what you are referring to:

Ha GaryMc, that gave me a laugh this morning. Especially Monaghan.

Guys, Guys, Guys. Let's not fall out about whether Cavan or Down are the "aristocrats", whether the GAA began in 2003 or the value of Ulster titles back in the day. This isn't the Ulster way. Let's all unite in our delight that Monaghan have never won an All Ireland, ever. Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Breffni39 bit harsh. I woldnt be bragging much if I handnt been in a final in 60 odd years. Armagh Down Derry Tyrone and Donegal have all won and contested finals since then. 20 finals in total with Ulster teams and all the mighty cavan have to show for it is 7 ulsters (without going on to reach an all ireland final) poor run of form

P.S how many club teams in Cavan have won ulster compared to monaghan since we are having a dig at them?

haha breffini always speaking about the past.. up until two years ago Cavan where going to be the next big thing now they are about the fifth best team in their province of nine. a few defeats and Cavan support turns back on the history channel for answers.

Who's talking about this past? Right now at this precise moment in time, Monaghan have never won the All Ireland.

Anyway calm down lads, I'm clearly joking. Wouldn't actually mind to see Monaghan win one. Only one though.

Skelling - where are you with the red pen? How am I supposed to learn if you won't point out the error of my ways? I need to know before I head back to the Glens this evening so that I can impress the locals with my new found apostrophe knowledge (might even do that air apostrophe thing so they know I know what I know). I might even be hailed as the smartest man in the parish and get a night of free drink. Please respond urgently.
