Muckross we did say it beforehand....I dont think we will see the best of Gooch this year.
This campaign will be getting him back to the intercounty speed.
he doesnt look like a starter at all, but Johnny Buckley and Stephen O Brien were very poor so I wouldnt be surprised if Eamon Fitz took a gamble and started Gooch at centre forward in my opinion.

Barry John Keane didnt do anything wrong and justified his selection but I do think he will be the fall guy as I think Kerry need to start Geaney.

The one thing I have to say is that in Kerry when things are going wrong we can be higly critical of the Kerry team but the abuse Brian Cuthbert has taken over the last 2 seasons was way over the top from the Cork supporters.
so just a question do you think after that performance will the Cork fans soften to Cuthbert or if Cork lose the replay will it back to square with yere opinion of Cuthbert?

If Kerry lost the big games Cork did over last 2 years, and by similiar big margins, the Kerry public may have been as vitrioloic in their abuse of Eamonn Fitz.According to the great Paidi O Se anyway,ye are a right bunch of "trucking animals" when it suits.

Not really. He has actually been given a very fair go of it considering how he was appointed. Ultimately, we have talented players from doing well at under 21 and 3rd level competitions. Last year was completely haphazard. Great start with a direct style of play. A hammering by Dublin in the league saw them try and change their style of play in mid season. Ultimately then we just stuttered along for the rest of the season This year has been haphazard so far as well. We were good on Sunday but still were awful in the league. The jury is still out.

Monkstown rebel
Gooch is fit and well as far as I know I just think he's struggling a bit to get back up to championship pace, iv seen him with crokes in a few games and he was trying but it wasn't happening for him tbh. On donaghy I can't see the captainsy saving him, it didn't do much for Kieran o'leary last year, although saying that I think donaghy did well the last day he was involved in a lot of our scores but I jut think we should try geaney in there for a game or 2. And Crowley is really good when he's tuned in to a game but when he tunes out as he did the last for the 3rd goal he can be dangerous.
Poor clondalkin will be devestated that he won't get to see the CHAMPS in the replay :-)

Great news.

Apparently all parties, Sky included, were involved in making this happen, so a big well done to all concerned.

Hugh, whenI saw that Cork half back line before the game I thought we were going to rip it to shreds but the vice versa happened. Thought Cuthbert should take a lot of credit for that

Has the Munster Council discounted the possibility of extra time in the replay? With a 7pm throw-in, the light mighn't be great around 9pm if it's a wet evening.

Well done to all parties involved for arranging the replay to be shown.

Hang on we were told by many experts on here and elsewhere that the Munster Championship was an obsolete event and the most uncompetitive. Going by the panic on here and Twitter as well other GAA forums these last few days when the possibility that it wouldn't be shown has shown on TV that rhetoric to be a big bluff and that people all over Ireland cant get enough of the biggest rivalry in gaelic football.

Another Kerryman listening to the voices in his head.

I don't recall the word "obsolete" ever being used, neither do I recall anyone saying that it was the most uncompetitive, Leinster clearly holds that status.

As for "panic", I don't think so. Wanting to see a game & panicking about not seeing it are two very different things.

Yes Cork V Kerry is a big rivalry but I wouldn't confuse that with saying that the Munster Championship, a two horse race at the best of times, is great.

Great article my Jim McGuiness this week on the game, in particular he discusses ho Kerry take risk by packing the half line but living it man for man in the full back line, he thinks that is something that can be exploited.
