Ned I would say it is a not a case of the standard being poor but the closeness of most teams. Galway (bias aside) are the one team who have a host of players coming back last weekend between Corofin and injury. Tom Flynn still out. No excuse though. e only have ourselves to blame for losing consecutive matches at home to Cavan and Laois. On this Sunday I think Down and Roscommon will go up. Meath will probably pip Cavan but lose out to the Rossies on head to head. Galway Kildare could be a draw sending Laois down with Westmeath.

A win for Cavan is by no means certain to promote us. Roscommon only nead to win by 2 points more than Cavan to finish ahead of us. (as we drew our game with them and they have already scored 25 points more than us. a draw between cavan and meath would be no good for Cavan as meath would finish ahead of us and so would Down unless they lost by more than 8 points.

going into the final games .

i suspect that roscommon will beat westmeath and by at least 5 points.
I think Down will beat Laois by a point or 2.
I think Kildare may shock Galway and win by a point.
I think Meath and Cavan will draw .

so the final table will look like this

I can't say madge if it is grand or not since you have not called our game with Kildare. On your predictions and if we draw or beat the lillies we are fine but if we lose we would go down with Westmeath as Kildare would overtake us on the head to head with Laois moving to 7 points.

I just want to wish mod Trevor Sean and the team the very best for tomorrow.
This is the most exciting panel of players to play for Meath in a long time, now some may say they too young for div 1 football, i don't agree, but if we have to wait another year then so be it, all we can do is beat Cavan and see how everyone else does.
