Poolbeg . I dont know what match you saw last night .laois won midfield have clearly better forwards.

Apart from Kingston the Laois forwards were poor enough last night. To be fair to Munnelly they left him too isolated and Laois didn't get much change out of Ciaran Fitzpatrick and Ollie Lyons. Paul Cribbin and Niall Kelly were the two best forwards on the field last night. Alan Smith had his moments too.

Kildare's midfield is average at best. We need Moolick back fit asap. There won't be much between the teams come the summer should Laois beat Carlow.

Two wins for the rossies would guarantee laois survival, so that's who we will be cheering for. Thrilling game in portlaoise last night.

If Galway and Kildare draw next week and Laois lose, the 3 teams will end up on 5 points so points difference will decide who goes down

Is it head to head first if its 2 teams then score difference if 3??
I fully expect Galway to win today, and hopefully my adopted county will do me a favour next week

Ye I think that's it royaldunne, so whatever about Roscommon (we'll see how they get on today first), next week we have to win and hope Down either loses or draws against Laois. One thing that may favour us is that both Roscommon and Down are facing teams who desperately need points, both ourselves and Cavan are safe.

Realdub , i bet after last night at least having a team that will go out and try to beat dubs man for man (no matter how impossible that is) is better than 15 behind there own 45. :).
Playing dubs in league, probably in cp would help a very young Meath team. But we still need others to help and that's a situation i never like.

Correct - head to head if 2 teams tied and scoring difference if more than 2

If Laois could beat Down it would be very interesting although I think Down will seal the deal. Roscommon to go up on the head to head methinks, Galway-Kildare is the head to dead fixture id say

I got to say i hate the blanket defense thing , its filtering down to teams like Roscommon and Cavan, which while both may settle for it as it has them riding high in div 2, for the long term future of the game its very detrimental.
So realdub i feel your pain.

Well done to Meath last night on a big win over Down. The results this weekend set it up nicely for an exciting final round of fixtures. Roscommon look to be on their way to a win over Galway, therefore Down and Roscommon will still be favourites for promotion. But the fact that 4-5 teams are hopeful of promotion speaks volumes for the competitiveness of division 2, and its great to have such an exciting league campaign. Credit to all the teams, even if it is a weak division this year, it has been compelling for the supporters.

Not any more there not, Galway have found a bit of momentum, still fancy Rossies to sneak over the line though

Galway win by 4. Rossies only managed 2 scores in second half.
So it goes down to the wire, 4 teams with genuine chance of been promoted, and fascinating at bottom too. Would call it the most evenly matched division in years. Well done to all.
