Carlsberg dont do hurling championships but if they did...

League: Galway
Munster: Clare
Leinster: Wexford
All-Ireland: Galway V Limerick, Limerick winning

Kilkenny meet Cork in a qualifier, Cork win and then play Tipp, Tipp win but are then beaten by Clare in the Semi..

Ban how can Clare and Tipp meet in a semi and then it's a Galway Limerick final? Did both play illegal players and were both thrown out of the championship with Galway getting back in?

Sorry Mike - might have got a little carried away there thinking up of great games to cap off a memorable year.

Are Wexford after picking up a load of players over the last 12 months? I'm shocked at the amount of people who think they will win it. It would be great to see them winning it but to beat Kilkenny and then one of Dublin or Galway is not something I can see happening. They will hop off Kilkenny for 50 minutes but still lost by 10 points. I wouldn't under estimate KK this year. They will be out to prove a point after all their retirements.

Faithfull, we are producing very good underage hurlers in Wexford now. I think expecting us to win Leinster is fanciful and wishful thinking but I will be disappointed if we dont give Kilkenny a right good rattle, and then give the qualifiers a rattle with what I would expect to be an All-Ireland semi final appearance. I'm sick and tired of excuses in Wexford, were a young team, developing, and this sort of nonsense. It is a young mans game gone. Look at Clare 2 years ago, they almost came from nowhere and won an All-Ireland. While they were good at underage, we've improved a lot at underage too.

Now I could turn out to have my hopes dashed and we have 2 big league tests away in the midlands in Laois and Offaly, but I think if we get 4 points out of those we will get promoted to 1A and in a way anything is a bonus after that. Having said that, anything less than an All-Ireland semi final appearance will be a disappointing year.

Pinkie would you be more concerned about Laois and Offaly than you would Limerick and Waterford in the league??

Wexford were a breath of fresh air this year and are a coming team with good fans but a semi would be some achievement given KK Tipp LK Clare Cork Galway Dublin and waterford would all be at least on a par. I wish ye the best

disillusiondfan, we have a good record on our own turf in recent years, but our away form can be very flakey. That was my logic here. I think we will give you a better game of it than we did in Thurles last year anyway! I think we can take Waterford also but I suppose, the league is where players get tried out also, so it would be of no surprise if we were turned over by any of the teams in 1B.
Wish you the best also.

The hurling championship will be the same as it has been since the introduction of the backdoor: 4 teams to contend: Kilkenny, Cork, Tipp and one other. My prediction is the other will be Clare this year

Maroonatic, you forgot about league of Ireland / Tidy Towns / All-Ireland welly throwing / ladies day at the Galway races.....

Tirawleybaron, you're right about KK and Tipp but Cork are back in the pack with all the other hopefuls (they overachieved in 2013 in my opinion). Clare should be the 3rd team to contend and then Limerick, and Cork in that order.

Pinkie, our All-Ireland welly throwing team are in transition. Can't see it happening for us this year.

I dont see how people have clare ahead of Limerick.. Top 3 are surely kk tipp limerick and in no particular order as limerick beat tipp home and away the last 2 years and with a bit of luck could have beat kk in semi. I cant wait till may when Limerick make a statement against CLare which ive no doubt they will!

That was 2014 Blackspot. I know ye think ye are wonderful --and maybe ye are -- but until ye actually go and prove it there will be plenty of doubters like me around! The thing about Limerick is they are always likely to implode and this must be the longest time in living memory ye have gone without having a row or dispute of some sort! Clare have "been there and done that" and that's why I rate their chances better than Limerick's. Ye are a bit like my own county unfortunately --- until ye go and win it or come close to winning it in an All Ireland final and show consistency over a couple of years, to my mind ye are not in the very front line of contenders. But if beat Clare and go on and win the All Ireland this year I will be delighted for ye cos no more than ourselves it is far too long since ye won one.

Agree with PoolSturgeon, until Limerick put a couple of consistent years in they won't be in my top 3 anyway. I'd have them in my top 6. Beating teams in Munster when the pressure of knock out isn't there just isn't the same as winning an AI semi so until they can do that they won't move up in the ranking. If Limerick had to beat KK this year I don't think they would of beaten that Tipp team in the Final.
