Killarney Legion beat Dr. Crokes in the last round. I suppose Stacks are favourites but Dingle or Legion and the divisional clubs will have a thing or two to say about that. Looking forward to both double headers at the weekend.

Toney there could be another Battle of the Boyne in Leinster this year. The Meath champs are playing the winners of the Louth/Offaly champions.

Two good games in Dublin on Saturday: Plunketts (the Brogans) v Kickhams (Philly, Rock, Jamsie). Vinnies (Dermie basically! - Ger still injured I think) v Templeogue (O'Gara and Bastick.)

Plunketts last chance perhaps after years of disappointment. Can't see them beating Kickhams unless the Brogans both play out of their skins. Vinnies will beat Templeogue with a bit to spare.

Toney I'd agree it seems a low standard. But from what I've heard the 4 teams left are probably deserving to be there.
Na Fianna with queeney could be the dark horses, tones have cian ward who has had a fantastic year nom are without Kev Reilly so that might be hard to fill. Looking forward to this weekend as I'm heading to at least one of them with the intermediate final between bracks and bal sure to be a cracker.

Didn't see the Crokes loss coming. I know they are without Gooch (but so were Kerry) but they were that much better than Stacks in last year's final, that they did would have won with Gooch, O'Leary, Buckley, Casey et al

Crokes have been the best team by long way in Munster.

With them gone I think it opens up the entire competition actually. As my club are not in it (not senior anyway), I hope some team from Waterford or Limerick win it out. Anyone know the Munster championship draws?

OLLIE so same draw as last year? It will be a very difficult few weeks for St Pat's. Hopefully they can regroup and do Eamon proud in Leinster. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Offside-Rule

Thank you sir.

More importantly, the news about the Louth player is truly sad and puts all in perspective.

Yes Toney. Its the same draw as last year. At the start of the season the Pats manager Fergal Reel was focused on winning the Louth championship and doing well in Leinster. Louth clubs have not got a great record in this competition. No Louth club have won have ever won the the Leinster championship. The last club to reach the final was Mattock Rangers in 2002 when they lost to that great Dunshaughlin team. Was it with Meath teams sticking the boot in to the Wee County ones? The Pats are a great club and they are a role model to any club out there. There is a great community around Lordship and they will all be there for Eamon Carrolls family and for each other. They have great players in Paddy Keenan, the Finnegan brothers Ray who is captain and his younger sibling Dessie and Colin Goss just to name a few. Nine of this team have won six Louth senior titles. Its remarkable to think that the Pats only won their first senior title in 2003 on the clubs 50th anniversary. They have come a long way in a short time. I have no doubt that the Pats will give it a good lash in Leinster this year with Eamon Carrol looking down on them with pride.

Has any county done the county double?

As mentioned Loughmore Castleiney from Tipperary did it last year. Celbridge have a chance this year.. the footballers meet Moorefield for a place in the final on Saturday then on Sunday the hurlers face Coill Dubh in the decider.

Put your money on Kilcoo to win a third Down Championship
in a row.

I heard Kevin McKernan got a very bad injury during the
Burren v Longstone semi final and faces a long lay off.
This will seriously hurt Burren's chances of defeating
the Magpies.

Dramatic late finish in Austin Stack Park. Dingle got a goal from the last play to win 2-9 to 2-8. James O'Donoghue's Killarney Legion shell shocked. Paul Geaney's Dingle march on!

Mid Kerry and Austin Stacks got through yesterday's quarter-finals. West Kerry never got going at all. Semi-final draw will be this evening with the semi-finals coming up next weekend.

The draw was made there live on the voice of the Kingdom:

Austin Stacks v Dingle
Shannon Rangers v Mid Kerry

Meanwhile in Gods country...
Cross power into the final in Armagh defeating neighbours St. Pats Cullyhanna. They will meet Armagh Harps in final.
My initial assessment is as usual. I see Cross winning.

How boring is the Armagh championship. How many feeder clubs have Cross got in South Armagh?
