Just breath on McManus and he gets a free! As for Dessis Moane...

Fantastic game given the conditions, draw fair result. What happens if this ends in a draw after extra time? Will both games be postponed?

This is Donegal 2011 all over again. Yet again Kildare the victim of some questionable refereeing decisions. I would be interested in seeing the free count for both sides.

Very true that bad conditions are a great leveller. Fair play to the teams for providing a very entertaining contest. Good job no Ulster teams playing to bore the life out of us. Not sure Dublin would be too concerned about what they are seeing though again conditions are impacting.

in fairness to mcmanus... lyons is far too tight to him all game and is very lucky to still be on the pitch after that pull down at the start of the game

Makes a complete mockery of having an A and B side to the qualifiers to apparently give teams equal space between games when one of these teams will now be expected to play a quarter final one week after playing 90 mins at this intensity.

Mark Donnellan not covering to himself in glory for the two goals.

Exactly naysayer. totally agree. Jim gavin will be delighted to see all these exhausted Monaghan bodies. A titanic effort from both teams.

Got to say very impressive by Monaghan to come back from a poor first half and two soft goals conceded by their standards to come out on top. All the more remarkable when you consider they have been worn down by having to play Armagh twice, Tyrone and Donegal already over the past couple of months.

Sad to see a fine county like Kildare exit in such tough circumstances.
