How so Hillman? If Kildare win, they haven't played either Dublin or Donegal.

clondalkin, ive been watching Reilly for a few years now, has yet to impress me as a top footballer, a mile off the player some people think he is, but its only my opinion

Lilypad he's inconsistent like a lot of players but tonight when Meath were terrible he's the only one who stood up to be counted, to say he didn't or to slag him off is wrong. I think it's more a gripe with Royaldunne is why your having a go at Reilly.

Listen fairplay to Armagh, they were clearly the better team, they looked very comfortable on the ball and some of their point taking was very impressive given the conditions, so well done.

How a team that loses by 16 points in the championship is allowed to stay
in the championship is questionable; the GAA will have to look at this!
I mean; is it fair on Meath supporters that they had to go out once again
and watch their team get thoroughly beaten in every area of the field!

Poor royaldunne; well, at least you didn't place any bets that you wouldn't honour this year! :)
Lap it up lad!

There was no Meath backlash, I honestly knew well we weren't capable of that but we were just hoping for a performance which evidently we weren't capable of either. Look it's a long road back for Meath, we have to start ftom underage and work on from there because there's nothing in the county to suggest that our fortunes are about to change any time soon.

Lads I don't know what to say.. It's been a long year but it should've been a whole lot longer. We're on the bus back to Carnaross and it's fair to say I've had more conversation on a flight to China. (I don't speak Chinese) I've been to two games this year, the Dublin game and this one. I've spent hard earned money following this team and for what?? All I can say is hopefully we'll be back to fight another day. A few tears have been shed today, but the Royals will fight, come what may. JohnJoe

Firstly well done to armagh the better team won no doubt about that. As for humble pie? My left you k.
w what. I adore Meath football and always will. Having faith in your county should never be discouraged.
As for future I wouldn't be as downbeat htaem we have Gillespie wallace and particularly O'Sullivan to come back
Look we are not as good as dubs kerry mayo etc but we not as bad as likes of carlow wocklow or tyrone

No progress for Meath in 2014

But stick with MOD

V unlucky with injuries to key men in 2014

But the huff and guff needs to stop from Meath

Time to forget about the past and build for the future

No AI's for Meath this decade... no chance... don't see many Leinsters either

Time to look at 10 years from now... put the effort in where it counts, a similar structure to Tyrone, a structure copied by Dublin

Plenty of hard days ahead until you boys have something significant to cheer about

Let me be the first to say Im a really big fan of Mick O Dowd and the current management set up but if Im being completely honest they need to take a lot of the flack for today's loss. I just cant understand why they would decide to double mark Jamie Clarke when;

(1) Keoghan was doing well on him single handedly for the first 35 mins
(2) we were winning the majority of kickouts when both teams were forced to kick it long

by playing a sweeper for the 2nd 35 mins it allowed Armagh to take short kickouts and destroy us down the field. A sweeper is no good when the runs are coming from the Armagh Half back line.

Then when we need a goal we bring on Dalton McDonagh and walace....No Disrespect to the lads but they are far too light for this level and the Armagh boy must have been delighted to see them coming on for the 2 Brays.

Im terribly disappointed

Agree jumbo been saying it for ages.Structures at underage need to improve drastically and it will take at least 10 years. We need a county wide plan for coaching/recruitment ASAP.Hardly a shock we can't do it at senior when we have done nothing at minor and u21 for a long time.Plenty calling for change of manager but we need stability and continuity. Its a long term job to fix what's wrong.
