also jack goff you say poor kilkenny turnout
there was 45 thousand at the game
and limerick brought 20 thousand this year so kilkenny had the same amount as them there.
last year limerick brought 35-40 thousand for the semi final so if anything it was them who dropped their support.

Limerick brought far more than Kilkenny yesterday. There was a 28k to 15 k split and that would be kind to Kilkenny i would say with a few thousand neutrals. Anyone at the game will tell you Limerick outnumbered Kilkenny quite significantly. I have no idea how you come up with these posts.

There was 30,000 Dubs there Jack. Very surprised at small turnout from Monaghan. 6/700 at most. Only for the Donegal supporters hoping to avoid the inevitable they'd have had no-one cheering for them :-)

hurlingdub tell your fellow Dubs that there were only 30k dubs there cus he seems to think 45k LOL.
Monaghan has a population of 60k people so over 1 in 10 from the county going is very good.

The Donegal supporters are legendary. It would cost you 50 quid on petrol alone to get from there to dublin. Fair play to them.

You don't know what you're talking about Hill. Anybody at the match will tell you the vast majority of supports there were from limerick. Very good turnout from them consdiering they weren't provincial champions and kilkenny were. If it was Limerick v Cork in the semi there would have been over 60k at it.

the limerick county board chairman on saturday in the paper said there would be 20 thousand this year as
oppossed to last years 35-40 thousand they brought and attributed the fall to the fact the minors were playing next weekend
unlike last year were they were both on the same day as the reason they brought that many.
i wasnt having a go at limerick and i suspect there was probably closer to 25 thousand limerick
i was responding to jack goff assumption kilkenny were poorly supported which was nonsense as they had the same crowd
as they did at the leinster final

we had 25 thousand at league games come on man leave this recent anti dublin tirade aside for one day
your on another thread saying dublin won the 2011 all ireland playing puke football and they dont get bad press for it
there was 72 thousand in croker you realy think that we only had 5 thousand extra than them league matches?
that would mean there was 42 thousand from the other 3 countys haha are you for real?
dublin like i said had around 45 thousand as they took over 35 thousand ticket allocation from clubs and then the other outlet sales.
monaghan had only about 3 thousand
with donegal around 14 thousand and armagh 10 thousand

Great crowd in Croke Park today...Cork seemed to have the majority looking at it on TV...

Yeah massive crowd in croke park. Although mostly cork the tv can't trick you into thinking there was more than there actually was. Red stands out over blue big time.

I was at the tipp v kilkenny semi a few years back and if the tipp crowd that was there that day turned up for this match it would have been sold out. Never the less great to see hurling attendances on the rise. Just a pity it wasn't someone like Dublin or Wexford v Limerick in the other semi final because it would have had a similar attendance to this semi.

Also fascinating to see the massive difference in cork between football and hurling support!

52k in Croker today. Not mad considering kerry were playing. That would have sold out the Aviva so it's no mean feat.

A few thousand on the Hill yesterday. Will be packed next week. Could sell it two or three times. And yet if it is Dublin/Mayo final Mayo will probably again get more Hill tickets!

Hurlingdub you got there before me....

I was gonna say that there was not many Mayo fans on the Hill yesterday also.
Wonder where their demand for Terrace tickets will come from for the All Ireland Final..??

Oh wait, they deserve Hill tickets like everybody else, but only want them when playing the Dubs... Mmmmm..!!

Goes to prove what we all know regarding last years All Ireland Final Hill tickets allocation....
If we get to the Final v Mayo, we will be more prepared for that shenanigans this time... ;o)

Great attendance yesterday over 52,000. Mayo outnumbered Kerry 4 or 5 to 1. The roads to Limerick will be gridlocked but sure who cares.

also on the point about the hill
yesterday we had 52 thousand at the match
yet the front 3 rows of the stands which are reserved for stopping pitch invasions and only used when the rest of the stand
is sold out, were open and in use yesterday despite thousands of empty upper deck seats.
yet hill16 had about a thousand people on it and the glass screen preventing people coming onto the pitch was kept up.
they care more about a thousand people from the hill coming onto the pitch than 51 thousand possible people encroaching from the stands

When it comes to the All Ireland final you take whatever tickets you can get, & that includes Hill16

Mayo would have had their pick of seating areas yesterday but that won't be the case for the final.

but should their county board be given double the terrace allocation of the other team?
considering that team use the terrace all year?

No they shouldn't. 50/50 is fair & how it should be done.
