It's made a mess of the club fixtures as well. First round of hurling was supposed to be that weekend. If they had any common sense it would been done this weekend, or better yet extra-time would have been played.

16,000 at the match in derry. I thought it was closer to 20000, but in fairness its still not bad for a first round game.

Looked to be a great crowd up in Derry alright but the Hurling attendance looked terrible. Very surprised at it....maybe its just a sign of the times but 5-6 years ago Id imagine there would have been 25,000 at that Cork v Waterford game.

Roscommon v Mayo is Scheduled for 2 and
Dublin v Laois is Scheduled for 4 on RTE on the Sunday of the Cork Waterford game.... Just wondering will the Cork game be televised, if not then there will be a massive attendance for the game. I would expect close to 25,000 for the replay and I think anything less would be disappointing especially with cheaper tickets as well.

It won't be televised unless they put it on RTE1 (did something like that a few years ago). Better off having it that way, Cork crowd will probably be similar but Wahafud's can't get much lower then they had.

Very poor crowd at the hurling yesterday, disappointing to see Waterford with such a low support, don't think they even had 2000 at the game. Deserve better than that and in fairness, they generally have a decent support, will expect it to be much higher the next day. While it was a low gate, there was still probably 15k from Cork at the game and hopefully that will be matched again the next day.

Would say closer to 30k in Thurles yesterday. Would say it was not far off a split crowd. Fair effort from the Shannonsiders.

There has been 54k at Munster finals in recent times. One would wonder where you would fit another 20k

Fair crowd at the Antrim game yesterday considering they are the two worst teams in Ulster on the face of it.

If that was the 2 bottom teams in Leinster or Munster playing you'd be lucky to have 3k at it.

There was nearly as many at the Fermanagh v Antrim game as the cork v Waterford game - one was considerably more profile than the other. approx 9,500 at one and 8250 at the other...

cuchulann I don't believe that figure they gave out at all. Surely there was much closer to 15k at it. These Munster stadiums apparently hold 50k. It makes no sense especially when you look at the Limerick match yesterday.

Thurles holds 53 thousand capacity
There wasn't many on the terraces
The people were only standing at the bars

There was 16,000 there last week and I'd say 13,000 of them were Cork. There was probably more cork people last week then Limerick yesterday. Hopefully Waterford bring a good crowd next week now
