Poor enough crowd at the Cork Westmeath as expected I suppose. I know football is the second sport in the county by a long distance but it wouldn't kill the County Board to do some promotion of the games, you would barely know they were playing in Cork today.

As an aside, Pairc Ui Rinn capacity is almost 17k not 7k as mentioned by someone in an earlier post. Ideal venue for Cork league games. Great venue

7,057 in Pairc Ui Rinn last night for Cork Limerick. That doesn't include U16s either so probably another 2 or 3 thousand. Great crowd and Great atmosphere.
Big difference from last week when there was 2,648 at it and most of them were from Kildare. Hurling is definitely number 1 in Cork!!

when an attendance is given that does not only count adults as some seem to think.
they dont count tickets sold it goes by the amount of times the turnstiles click
so juveniles are counted when they go through the stile the same as adults
thats why you often hear them say they expect a certain amount as thats how many tickets are sold
but sometimes the actual attendance is less as not all the tickets sold make there way to a ground on the day
for various reasons mainly the weather haha
