Why is it stupid ? I see a few people have said this now about snufs sign off , Personally i don't understand it either , But some posters seem genuinely frustrated by it , Which actually makes me laugh , I couldnt care less what he puts at the end of every single post. Why should he not do it ? It's totally up to himself and if he wants to sign off with Regards, Snufalufagus...Laochra Gael , So be it , Its not a massive deal in all honesty , In a time when the country is in bits , people are losing jobs left right and centre , People are losing their houses and families and are suffering from terminal diseases and illnesses , If all you have to worry about and moan about is a p*xy sign off , then seriously , You need to wake up and stop this ridiculous carry on !!

Snuff is a very good contributor to this site. Like O'Gall , Ulsterman , Nacca , the whole lot , If they arent your cuppa tea , Ignore them , if you cant ignore them , on your bike..

Shouldn't snuffy be allowed the right of reply, its the least he deserves. There is simply no comparison between ballboy and snuffy, ballboys posts were deliberately offensive in the main and he was guilty of some disgusting slights against the victims of Bloody Sunday which was quickly removed by admin. Snuffy can be infuriating at best but you have to learn to play him at his own game, ultimately this forum would be all the poorer without him.

This is ridiculous, Snufalufagus, it would seem is far far too subtle and intelligent for some posters around here. Most of his commentary is actually related to the topic that is if you read it carefully, parody, wit, humour and irony is a wonderful Irish tradition. There is more to Snufalufagus than meets the eye.

I mean how can someone with 34 contributions know so much about Snuf. Long time reader me arse i dont believe that for a second. If anything its people using multiple usernames and alias' who should be banned from this place

I enjoy this site for the promotion of local GAA that doesnt happen as much on sites like boards but boards.ie has so many more features than hoganstand that make it a better site for example a like button, the ability to post 24/7 365 days a year, members can private message each other, etc

Its Snuffy, glringly obvious. Think about it. He is egotistical enough to want people to come on here and discuss his merits as a poster and have a few praise him.

alot of people need to settle there heads snuffs is quite a clever person and most of the time is having a bit of craic but at the end of the day his knowledge and insight to the game is very interesting,one main thing about snuffs if your easily wound up or not the sharpest knife in the drawer watch your easy prey for the snuffs

Since September he's been very very repetitive to the point of absolute aggravation. And I mean over hundreds of posts...

But look all he does is instead of denying or trying to argue about the usual things people criticise Dublin for he just plays up to them and proudly exaggerates them. There's abit of craic in that but really in the last 4 months he could have just copied and pasted the vast vast majority of his posts.

Is it worth banning him for that? I really wouldn't think so but I don't know what he gets out of it either.

Yes, the site isnt about constant seriousness but theres no need for deliberate winding up of other posters. That is called wumming and many of Snufs posts are wumming. Every person is entitled to an opinion but they shouldnt be allowed ridicule other peoples opinions. You mention Seamus89 ,on many threads about rugby since i joined this site, has given right abuse to the sport that is totally unfair and untrue

This is a public forum but theres no need for abuse of a sport or the people who play that sport
Yes this place needs banter but you can have banter and the craic without constantly abusing sports,posters

Your post is very good and can we post up things to the admin as to how the site can develop into the future

Ive mentioned a few things id love the site to do like the ability to private message other posters, others have mentioned a like button in the past
It would be great if the moderators of the site had a genuine look at these ideas to improve this great site into the future

A thread with rules that everyone must follow that stays on the front page on the forum all the time would also be great

In fairness she is very immature at times but she gives me a good laugh I must admit. Banning her would increase the standard of this forum but I think that is a bit extreme. Maybe the admin could just delete her sign off at the end.

I really mean this. She ruins each and every thread she comments on.
Each time I read a post that she is involved in, I cringe at the thought that I have something in common with this person - being Irish, from same province, interest in same sport.

Reasons for ban:
This is a site and forum for GAA fans, hoganstand is in danger of turning into a youtube-comment-like area where people are allowed go off on ridiculous tangents if posters like this fool remain - every so often we all get giddy and excited and post rubbish for a laugh, but this constant stream of foolishness must stop
Snufalufagus is allowed hide behind an anonymous name under which she can post smug remarks, which are never informed additions to any GAA related argument and merely serve to annoy all around
Snufalufagus is completely self-obsessed (sign off name - extremely irritating, and now "a snuffy original" in friday wind down - latest post) and contributes nothing of any worth in terms of information or dignified opinion to any thread
The worst of all for me was when people were posting to Michaela Harte's (RIP) thread, this fool still insisted on using the sign off - complete obnoxiousness

After over 4,000 posts of absolute tripe, please ban this ridiculous presence from what generally is a great site for all Gaelic Games lovers.

Admin: post this, I believe (yes, believe - not saying I definitely am) I represent a majority of posters who dislike this individual. If I do not represent the majority, I will gladly concede my right to call for this ban


Could not agree more. Ruins every threat with stupid comments and there is no need for it. its annoying, stupid and childish. Ruining a place for genuine fans to discuss Gaa ect.. We can all have a laugh at the best of times but he is just plain annoying. I for one get put off a thread when i see him/her involved, as it usually turns into a farce- unrelated to the thread topic.
My visits to this site are becoming less frequent due to this so and so, and i know others the same.
