Sorry Boxtyeater ( Leitrim), Mick Donnellamn played in the disputed final of 1925 at left corner forward, and was captain of the losing team of 1933 v Cavan. He did not play on the winning team of 1934, which was M Higgins ( Capt), M Brennan, Mc Donnell, Ferriter, Carey, O Sullivan,Hughes,Mc Carthy, Fox, Dunne,, Connaire, Griffin, Kelly, Mitchell, and Nestor. sam02 (Tyrone) - Posts: 643 - 13/12/2008 10:27:41 163580 Link 0 |

Boxtyeater, the 1925 final was declared null and void, Galway can put whatever spin they like on it. sam02 (Tyrone) - Posts: 643 - 14/12/2008 18:36:09 164011 Link 0 |
Was any All Ireland win "undisputed"? patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 14/12/2008 19:06:03 164027 Link 0 |
Galway were declared the champions in 1925, after the dust settled. So in any record books, and GAA official documents, it will list Galway as the 1925 champions. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 15/12/2008 00:52:46 164128 Link 0 |

Sorry my friend from Leitrim, A.I.F. of 1925 was declared "NULL and VOID", no medals presented, but it is always said that Galway Co Board bought medals for the team members and distributed them, but not the Celtic Cross from Croke Park. Spin that if you like !!!! sam02 (Tyrone) - Posts: 643 - 16/12/2008 06:22:04 165045 Link 0 |
