Over 12,400 paying customers at last nights Leinster Minor between Laois and Offaly. This excludes under 16s. Adding the 12,400 with at least 4 to 5 thousand under 16s. Giving approx 17 to 18 thousand in attendance. Made for a wonderful atmosphere. Anyone know if this is some kind of record for a stand alone minor match ? Hurling or Football" It was great to see the place packed and the chants of Uibh Fhaili Uibh Fhaili. Its great to see such a spectacle for an underage game. Hurling or Football" Around 20,000 were in attendance in Ennis for the All Ireland minor football final replay in 2006 Kerry v Roscommon. I was there and Cusack park was packed and we won.
