Replying To St.Conleth:  "Far worse situation in Munster where football is on the slide everywhere except Kerry. Clare at best static, tipp going backwards and Cork in crisis!

Leinster at least should be competitive this year."
thats your spin when in fact limerick and clare in div 2, tipp won munster 2 years ago, so in fact munster football has never been as strong

Replying To LongfordgaaAbú:  "You have to go back 65 years (!!!) to that 4th Leinster county to win an All Ireland (Louth). Those born when Offaly won their last All Ireland are now on the verge of middle age. Anyone under 40 has only ever seen Dublin and Meath win All Irelands from Leinster. Serious structural deficits marked by the brilliant dominance of Dublin, and no sign of any big shift to a new way. Most of us are praying to superman that the Tailteann Cup becomes our salvation because the Leinster Championship has not been fit for purpose for decades (many of us will cheer its demise) and we don't think anymore in terms of All Irelands."
Tailteann Cup can be a good thing for your county and others. But it needs promotion. The knockout games should be held as curtain raisers to senior matches. Don't stick them on in a regional ground with no TV coverage and small attendances. Put them on in Croke Park with live coverage on RTÉ. Will probably have to go back to alternating weekends like they had before Super 8s.

The alternative is to have a dedicated weekend and have 2 matches on Sat and 2 on Sunday with live coverage on RTÉ. No excuses this time.

Hurling is at an unprecented standard in South Dublin anyway, GAA is more than football lads.

This is football thread. Maybe you should stick to the hurling ones.

Kerry have zero competition in Munster. All the talk last few years was Dublin's dominance in Leinster when in reality they dominated the whole country. Kerry will walk Munster this year and at least next 2.

The fact that you only say "at least the next 2" means the problem isn't that bad. Dublin have won the last 11 Leinster titles, they will make it 12 in a row this year and who would back against them winning the next 5 also.

Have €50 on Kildare at 8/1 this year.. delighted

But they obviously only say 2 because who can see the future.. of course Kerry's domination could be much worse than that. No one would have predicted in 2011 that Dublin could go on the run they did.
