Mc Geeney's print all over this Armagh team, playing on the edge and late tackling all over the place. Neartheborder (Derry) - Posts: 56 - 19/02/2022 18:38:08 2401127 Link 1 |
It has been proven Armagh didn't start it. Nice try though.

Glad that this has now been put to bed without a lengthy series of appeals. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1140 - 20/02/2022 08:08:34 2401185 Link 0 |
I've watched a lot of football in last few weeks..can some one explain to me how a ref can spot a defender holding a jersey from 50 meters away..however 7 officials can't see what backs are doing to forwards before the start of either half,it has me completely baffled..I'm waiting for a forward to just lay out a defender in some game very soon..please don't anyone come and say it's all part of game..it's disgusting.. It happens in hurling too, unfortunately. Maybe not as often as in football, but it shouldn't happen at all.

Tyrone had a hard fought battle today without the 4 and the others who are injured. However they answered their critics with a hard fought win over a brilliant Kildare side in a great game of football. Those 4 cards has got their backs up. You could see that today. Kildare are getting better each game. border Gael (Monaghan) - Posts: 894 - 20/02/2022 21:32:11 2401466 Link 0 |
Not much was made of Kildare's injury list for all I've heard about Tyrone's missing players.. Neill Flynn and Kevin Feely both unavailable, the two first names on last years team sheet. Kevin o Callaghan, first choice midfielder out. The Naas contingent of Eoin Doyle, Darragh Kirwan and Alex Beirne all unfit to start and all likely starters, Kirwan and Doyle without question… but we are improving. From a Kildare perspective, it's not a bad thing to travel to the home of the all Ireland champions and be justified in saying we should have taken points. Same with having taken a point from this years all Ireland favourites. That said, time we got points on the board. I'm gunning for the Dubs. Tyrone were missing 5 (4 current allstars) of their starting 6 back line from AI final, thats a serious loss, 4 off them due to suspension and one to injury. they also were missing Mattie Donnelly from their forward line. I think to beat Kildare was a great result in that situation.

Good to see Mc Manus getting red card rescinded, ref cost them a point when it mattered in closing stages.

Great to see it. Can't understand how the four Tyrone cards stood.

. Well you were half right. Funny league for them - draw with Kerry and beat Dubs and still get relegated. Funny league all round it has to be said. Not having a pop at Kildare - got some great points in 1st half today but better team won. And, although teams would have approached NFL in a different manner had it passed, today would have been some craic if Prop B was in operation! timmyhogan (UK) - Posts: 290 - 27/03/2022 20:35:15 2407542 Link 0 |
