Well done lads, nice to get the win, poor enough standard of football, a lot of mistakes from both sides. Our full forward was the stand out man and got us over the line.

Great to get the win and put all the bull from the last few weeks aside. Let's get behind all the teams and do what's best for Meath!

Well Done to the team and management.
Sorry to be negative, but it was a shocking standard of football from both teams. It was embarrassing at times. Almost comical, such was the standard of hand passing, handling and kicking the ball long. They'll get wiped by the ulster champions. Frayne was the highlight though. He's a class player and could see him playing senior in the not too distant future. Decent free taker from the ground. Our defence were decent too. Donnelly looks very good. And the big lad Gray in midfield could be the future midfielder we've been looking for at senior level (no pressure)

Fortunate enough to win but congratulations to them. The Meath midfielder caught some ball. Big improvement needed for the semi.

The negativity on this is absolutely laughable. Finals are there to be won and they won it. It's the first competitive game of any description for these lads in 6 months so they're bound to be nervous, and they had to sit with the tag of being heavy favourites for 6 months and all the pressure that brings to 16-18 year olds. And yet they stuck at it and managed to win. Full credit to them

Don't be negative then. These are 16/17 year old kids who have been trying to prepare for this game for about 18 months by spending alot of that time training on their own very little collective training no competitive games at all since march last year and only a handful of recent challenge games so it was not surprising at all that the standard and quality was below par as there would have been lot of cobwebs to blow off. Challenge games serve a purpose to an extent but its only competitive games that will bring you up to the level you need to be at. Maybe put their performance in context and cut them some slack before calling them embarrassing. Well done to team and management. Finals are about winning anyway you can and you did that last night.

Its all about the result. Players and teams coming through and winning Leinsters. Well done to all involved. Unfortunately problems continue at U20 and Senior grade.

Fantastic win under the circumstances, waiting months for the final. Showed great character and determination to win it at the end. One of the great Meath leinster minor wins of all time. Beating the Dubs by 11 points in earlier rounds, than waiting months and months to play a leinster final in following season. Against one of the best Offaly underage teams in years. A great achievement for management and players and it is Meaths 3rd under 17 minor leinster title in 4 years. And there are real prospects on the team. Eoghan Frayne, Ciaran Caulfield, Conor Gray, Sean Emmanuel and Liam Kelly are great prospects going forward. Best of the luck in the semis, it will be huge achievement to even get to final. No leinster team has got to All Ireland minor final in 9 years since Meath played Dublin in 2012 All Ireland minor final.

Hopefully this game has got them back up to the level shown before lockdown, standard of football from both side was poor, but this can be put down many reasons, nerves, lack of games and so on, Frayne not only a good ball player but looks to be their leader also. As you said defence was good and midfield has great potential with both lads having different skill-sets. Ulster champs will pose a big test, but expect a much improved showing from Meath.

The problem with Conor Gray is he's got AFL written all over him. Must be near 6'5 and fetches for fun.

Very inconsistent and needs to toughen up a bit, way too nice on pitch
