Monagahn have the Indian sign over us in the league, so wouldn't be taking anything for granted, but id be disapointed not to win at home.

Hoping we continue to see more emerging players now the Sigerson is over and a broader breath of the panel.

Have to imagine Dublin will take this, they've started the league well, and I find it hard to believe we'll be able to beat them 3 years in a row!

Hoping for a good game though and we've had some entertaining battles the last few springs. It's been a good start to the league for us imo with some positives to be taken, so I would hope for a good performance here first and foremost.

At the start of the year , you're not exactly marking down an away game to Dublin as one of your "must wins", so it would be a bonus if a good result came of it. I'd be confident we could win another couple this league that would secure our division 1 status - so I'd like to see our squad used well through the league, and young lads like Aaron Mulligan get some game time against the best in the country this weekend.

Seems a bit unnecessary to have each Dublin football national league game have its own thread on the national section....

Despite losing the last two games I would still be confident of getting the two points but Monaghan always give a good account of themselves in the league against us and attack well so hopefully we see the same again but with a different result.

We lost the last two league games to them - one where the lads were just off the plane and clearly not up to speed, the other via a late, deflected goal in a dead rubber. I honestly can't remember the last time we've lost to Monaghan in league or championship. I wouldn't put any stock in this "Indian sign" stuff.

But I didn't mention the game in question, just how 3 threads doing the rounds on the national page basically on the same topic is very unnecessary.....

Can't see the Dubs not winning this. They were in second gear at the weekend accounting for Mayo. Monaghan were impressive at the weekend but Tyrone were truly appalling.

Looking at the amount of views and comments the firsr two generated so probably not too unnecessary for people interested in the articles.

Looking forward to it. Dublin were awful for the most part on Sat with the exception of the full back line which I thought did well. I think a shake-up in the forwards would do no harm McHugh has looked off it, Byrne deserves a start. Would like to see Paddy Small and Sean Bugler get a start also. Monaghan just pipped by Galway but then a great result against Tyrone. I think they'll relish the open space of Croke Park. Always enjoy watching McManus in action and it will be interesting to see how the Dublin midfield does against Hughes and Kearns. Should be a decent game.

Surely wont beat Dublin 3 years running in the league and agree last two years had special circumstances about them although clones in 17 and croke park in 16 were v competitive games so not much between us in the league anyhow.

Monaghan are as short as 4/1 for this and have a very good chance on Saturday. In recent years the likes of Dublin, Kerry and Mayo have tended to experiment more against them, than say Tyrone or Donegal. Presumably because they rate the others as a threat for the summer.
So Monaghan have been a good shout to pick up least 2 points against the 2nd string of established Div1 sides. An accumulator builder for this weekend.

Oh is it in Parnell? I am sure my ticket says Croke Park.

Do you think Cavan will be in Tier 1 or Tier 2? Division 2 a dog fight & it seems ye will be up against it. Best wishes to our dearest neighbours

You are the personification of contradiction with that post chief. I'm sure it seemed perfectly clear at the time.

There. Fixed this "contradiction". Apologies to all the pedants out there.
