Some Leitrim person must of rattled your cage. Louth to win by 18 plus points?

As it stands, Leitrim are going to win - which will relegate Louth. Cork are going to win which will promote them. If Longford can hold on for a win they'll be favourites for promotion I think.

Not sure why you see us as favourites considering Downs last 2 games are against Leitrim and Louth and have the head to head on us. Down favourites for that last promotion spot for me.

Down accounted for a disappointing Offaly today. They look good odds for promotion, with Cork.
Down are at home to Leitrim, and away to Louth in their last two games, they can win those matches.
Longford wrap things up away to Derry, and home to Cork.

Well, how did that go for you? Did Louth win by more or less than 18 points?

great win for Down yesterday which puts themselves in driving seat behind Cork for promotion, 2 games to go home to Leitrim and away to Louth would be very surprised if they don't win both.
Longford need to beat Derry away and Cork at home and hope Down slip up to get promotion which is a big ask winning both of those games.

Think this will be 2-3 teams on equal points in 2nd. might come down to scoring or head to head. however its being judged this year

heres my take on this weekends Div 3 fixtures:
FL Division 3 round 6

Down v Leitrim, Pairc Esler, Sat 14th March 7pm -Down to win by 7/8 points one would think, Leitrim may have a spring in them after win last day.

Cork v Louth, Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Sun 15th March 2pm - Cork will surely do the biz here, at home, and by 6/7 points

Derry v Longford, Celtic Park,Sun 1th March 2pm - Derry have home advantage, Longford have scored well in most games, hard to see them win here though.

Tipperary v Offaly, Semple Stadium, Sun 15th March 2pm - Offaly badly need a win to keep any chance alive while hoping for slip ups in teams above them (in the last two rounds which isnt going to happen), very hard to see the slip ups happening, if Offaly can throw off the cautious shackles when they get within 20-30 yards of goal they would win this game, problem is I dont think they will do that. Great if Niall McNamee and Cian Johnson were to start at least and play maybe a full half and see how they go, but neither probably will. I am going for a Tipp win or even a draw.

You'd never know from the traffic on this thread that Div 3 was still going ahead!

So it's a winner-takes-all clash between my own Lovely Leitrim and Tipp. Strangely, if Offaly contrive to lose to Louth and our boys can do the business, a recent rule change (when did that happen???) means that because of Leitrim's concession to Down, the results between the three of us will be used to form a mini-league (on account of us all having 5 points). At present, it looks like this:
Tipperary 1-16 Offaly 0-16
Offaly 2-16 Leitrim 0-14

Off P2 W1 L1 F38 A33 Diff +5 Pts 2
Tip P1 W1 L0 F19 A16 Diff +3 Pts 2
Lei P1 W0 L1 F14 A22 Diff -8 Pts 0

So if Offaly lose, Leitrim need to win by 6 to stay up! Otherwise, any sort of Leitrim win will do.

I'm pretty confused after reading that.
