How Long Have You Been Posting?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Just wondering how long everybody has been posting on Hoganstand? I set up my account in 2008 after our defeat to Tyrone. Still haunts me, the rain that day was like a window into my soul when the final whistle went. Dramatic much!

I think I've been posting since about 2003! Mad when you think about it.

Have been reading the forum in its various guises since early 2000s but I think I only registered in 2010 after the Leinster final debacle.

Only a year posting but a reader for a few years. The site has certainly changed and not for the better either.

2003! That's a shift and a half. How long is the forum around so you know?

Same as that. No login back then either. Think that came in around 07 or maybe later?

Can't remember exactly when I started posting, think it was around 2005/2006, but it probably wasn't as Htaem because I think at the time you just had to enter a name under the post rather than register a username.

Posting as Htaem since 2007, was going to call myself The Backwards Meathman but thought the name was too long.

2003 from memory, maybe 04. Place started going downhill about 2010. Had a brief revival, but the introduction of the thumbs thing lowered the standard of debate. There was a lad from Laois who must have had a bet or something that he'd reach 10,000 likes, he did it with about 100 different usernames. Then disappeared. He'd post something and within a hour it had 40/50 green thumbs. I don't agree with a lot on here but I prefer to post more responses. Some of the great past users have gone. . Hs need a total overhaul if it is to continue. Back to basics.

2005 in the days when Armagh and Tyrone were doing battle. That time it was just one long page with no threads. Think logins came around 2007 or 08. I remember ballboy from Mayo was my favourite poster. Think the guy had 3 degrees and was very well off according to himself. Wonder what ever became of him. Went away myself for years only to come back now and again.

Since around 2005 I'd say. No login, and no threads at the time just a big forum.

Think it's been going since the late 90s.

Liamo the man to put us right with that I reckon he's here any 20 years!

JayoCluxton was a good poster too. Is he around under a new username these days?

Will be red thumbed for saying it but Snuff was a pain in the hole most of the time.

Is Horse from Laois still here?

Orlaith from Derry was the original Lady of HS, Jackeen. But you've well outlasted her at this stage!

Jim from Wexford still gets my vote for the greatest post I've seen on here after the 08 hurling final. He disappeared afterwards. Seem to recall he posted an illegible message once about 2 years later but I could be mistaken.
