Ah, we'll be fine. We'd be the happier I think to have the 13 days after the last day and that'll give a boost I'd say. Let's see what unfolds but it'll be another close one I'd imagine. Can't wait. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 10/09/2019 21:47:28 2234230 Link 1 |
I don't know about the energy levels but I'd think Dublin will have got a bounce from the way it finished up on 1st September. Get back , regroup and plan for the replay having been so close to loosing. Kerry I think had it there for the taking and froze a bit in the last 5 minutes. I'm being optimistic I know but I think we have a good chance the next day. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 10/09/2019 21:53:53 2234232 Link 0 |
It'll be close alright and I can't see more than 3 between the sides. Is it Dublin Ohio you are from ? ;)

Outside of the competing counties there is actually zero interest in this game. I live in Tyrone and people are more concerned about the upcoming county quarter finals...in my home county of mayo people seem to have forgotten that the all Ireland is still being played for...my parents are from Galway and they are more concerned about who is going to be county managers next year and my wife is from Tipperary and they are still revelling in their hurling success..the country really couldn't care less mayotyroneman (Tyrone) - Posts: 1821 - 11/09/2019 00:56:14 2234271 Link 0 |
Ya we can't be giving ye 5 point leads again the next day we need to be taking the lead and putting this game to bed early and stop giving me heart attacks. Easier said than done I suppose. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 11/09/2019 07:50:42 2234282 Link 0 |
The Dubs will be pumped. Watching that game back they'll see that with 12m to go they swarmed all over Kerry with just 14 men creating 6 point scoring opportunities but only taking 1. That will give Dublin huge confidence.

Seen a leaked dublin team this morning which has diarmuid connolly starting instead of John Small at number 7. Tarismelting22 (Roscommon) - Posts: 760 - 11/09/2019 08:33:13 2234287 Link 0 |
How is that hilarious? Its Diarmud Connolly. Can anyone really criticize that decision if he is to start, forget about the last year he has been a great servant to Dublin and certainly has proven that he is a player for the big games, regardless of the lay off, he never stopped playing football and is back with the Dublin squad now. CON, Mannion, Scully etc all doing well at the moment too but you can put your house on it these fellas are watching and learning a thing or 2 from Dermo in training. boman11 (Antrim) - Posts: 237 - 11/09/2019 08:44:22 2234289 Link 3 |
No, you see your man has me down for a Dub so sure I'll play along with him and he can think what he likes.

The idea that starting a fit Connolly is "hilarious".....is, in itself hilarious! Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 11/09/2019 09:39:24 2234308 Link 2 |
The way people get worked up about Connolly is hilarious. Serious fanboy stuff. As I have said a tonne of times, a superb talent and brilliant athlete. But has played very little top class football last couple of years. And 100 percent noses are out of joint in the panel. Saying otherwise is nonsense. Seen it myself , for posters who haven't theres a picture of this Sunday's Dublin team in the match program with Connolly selected at 7 not sure if it's for real but if it is It would mean Small is out through a hand injury I presume.

I'd like to thank you on behalf of everyone, for taking the time out to compile this pin point accurate survey of the nations feelings. The fact you were willing to travel the length and breadth of the country to gather this information is very impressive. I feel bad now, for only talking to my wife and a few lads in the bar. Anyway if the rest of the country doesn't care, why should I?. Definitely not going to watch it. Now where did I leave them sour grapes. I can't name one person in my circle of friends in Mayo or those I know who follow sport that didnt watch the first game. And they like me will watch the replay.
