How about you start with how you feel about the incidents and don't come out with such a wishy washy post. You got an issue post it. You don't know happened find out. Then come back to us. You won't lack for media attention or replays anywhere online if that's what you need.

I don't know for sure but this looks like another legendxix post. One of his many aliases commenting on anything and everything except the sport itself. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 28/07/2019 13:47:28 2217548 Link 3 |
Thanks for your reaction. Don't want to play judge, jury and executioner all in one post , purpose is to start open dialogue where too many now bury our heads in the sand.primarily . PatOLogical (Limerick) - Posts: 1358 - 28/07/2019 13:53:37 2217555 Link 0 |
If you have 30 relatively big men running around with wooden sticks there are bound to be some injuries and incidents. What's your point waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 28/07/2019 14:46:59 2217573 Link 6 |
Well whatever about yesterday Ronan Maher shouldnt be involved for the rest of the year. He could have caused Peter Casey massive damage. He lined him up and done him when casey had no chance of protecting himself. daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 28/07/2019 14:50:31 2217576 Link 1 |
You do have a point some tackling is beyond the edge but it came from both teams. And punters all enjoy the intensity, pundits laud it, but someone is going to get seriously injured.

Is there even a question in that op? MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13707 - 28/07/2019 15:03:31 2217589 Link 4 |
Not sure I follow; are you saying that there are some elements of the game that are allowed under the rules, but shouldn't be, or are you saying that the refs allow some things to happen that are against the rules, but they don't enforce them? If it's the former, I wouldn't necessarily disagree with you. Look at JC this year; you'd have to wonder about the safety of a particular rule when a perfectly legitimate tackle can put a player out for several months. Took it in his stride fair play to him. If it's the latter, which is entirely subjective, it does come across a little like sour grapes to be honest. Physicality is an intrinsic element of the game, hence Canning's stoicism, especially at the senior level. If you can't handle it, there's always the football. :) festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3097 - 28/07/2019 20:25:41 2217825 Link 0 |
Should they be armed with 'wooden sticks' if injuries and incidents are 'bound to happen? Was that an incident towards the end of the minor game today?

Absolutely distraught to see Joe get injured. Either Joe or Kevin are not dirty players. Joe took it as it was and kudos to him. Kevin was also distraught and said so. However this tackling around the neck is getting out of hand and the rules ignored. incidentally I would change the rule someway to protect a player who has already been tackled twice. Not that penalising Kevin would have done Joe any good. There was no way Joe could have protected himself from Kevin's hit. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 2660 - 28/07/2019 20:46:49 2217843 Link 0 |
While i'm not sure what the op is asking, i do agree with the idea of it. oneoff (UK) - Posts: 1380 - 28/07/2019 21:19:38 2217863 Link 0 |
