Replying To giveitlong:  "If Durcan is back Mayo have a chance, If DOC is back Mayo have a great chance. They need to up it again from yesterday but the 2 weeks off will be perfect. Could be a classic game. Strangely I would fancy Donegal to possibly catch the Dubs, but think Mayo could catch the Donnies. Just got a ticket there now, selling out fast on the website."

Should be a great game and atmosphere. Donegal rightly favs but Mayo will be fired up. Talk that Durkan, Diarmuid O C and Even Matthew Ruane could be back.

Great to see Tom Parsons with the panel yesterday.

A good win in Castlebar would give us great momentum going in to play Dublin or Tyrone 6 days later, we are undefeated in this years Championship, Mayo have been beaten twice and well beaten too by Kerry, if we have any ambitions of giving Dublin a serious test then we should be beating this Mayo side without too much bother,
it will be tough, big home support, hope it's not Mayo Joe reffing this one.

Will be stunned if this isn't Mayo's last game this year. Mayo has had a hard year injury wise, not the only team but to get this far is an achievement. Hoping I'm wrong but it will take a monumental improvement in form for them to win.

Will be a great battle. Few mates down in Mayo and there Craic will be good come Saturday week. Two counties with plenty in common aside from football. The tension will be savage that day.

Replying To BaldyBadger:  "I would say Donegal, Mayo and Kerry's group, not "our group" if you are alluding that your group is more competitive as I believe you are. It is more competitive because the three teams mentioned are all able to beat you comfortably therefore making the game between Mayo and Donegal interesting. I think all believe Kerry are through as they are playing yourselves, so all eyes on Castlebar.
Our group is all over, which is a shame but you are most certainly not in a better place than Roscommon or even Cork to some extent."
Cork will be the best team not to make it out of the Super 8s. What a year you've had. An All Ireland semifinal would have been a just reward for the exciting football you played this year. Could be a beast next year.

I feel that Mayo will win, but it will be close, provided Murphy doesn't have an off-day.

You are a rear breed in donegal, most of them are sound.

I have a serious fear for Donegal. Mayo beaten twice deservedly and could have been beaten by Armagh.

Donegal looking better than anytime outside 2012.

All recipes for a Donegal victory but the truth is Donegal have a quality side at full strength but cannot cope with injuries and still compete at highest level across the park.

Ban Gallagher Gone
N McGee Struggling
McGrath Struggling
McBrearty Struggling
Jason McGee Struggling
Hugh McFadden Struggling

Mayo at home for a place in an All Ireland Semi final. I'd make this a 50 50 game regardless of betting odds

Most if not all of those mentioned will be ready to go in two weeks time.

If not, last Sunday showed real depth on the bench as the performance levels didn't dip in the second half despite the many enforced changes.

Not sure where the Donegal poster is getting his info but McGee and McGrath will be fine for Mayo game from what I am hearing, as will McFadden. Jason McGee damage is unknown and same for McBrearty from what I hear.

Mayo are trying to get Durcan and DOC back and Higgins as well. Too soon for Ruane. Both teams have injury issues. Neither would want to dip too heavily into the bench.

I feel we are the team in best form already unable to qualify for the semi's already. One of the current big 5 is about to not make it as well so they will be the best team not to get to the semi's.
Anyway I am looking forward to watching Cork play again having real optimism rather than blind faith.

Midfield for us is where I'm most worried. If McGee and McFadden are out it would most likely be Thompson and Langan to fill in? Two good men no doubt but not much experience playing together as a midfield duo. Also - they could be up against the O'Shea brothers who have been there and done that over the years.

While it would be fantastic to have a full deck to choose from at the back I'm not AS worried as I was before the game last weekend. The lads that came in did a great job against a better attack in Kerry's than Mayo have in my opinion.

Patrick's hamstring is a cause for concern as well. Brennan was well marshalled the other day and it might be expecting too much of young Gallen to become the focal point of the attack in a hostile Castlebar, great player and all as he is.

I think we should be fine injury wise as initial reports are that they were minor knocks not that much would get out if they were not. I would have no fears of Langan and Thompson playing midfield. Thompson plays there with Glenties alot of the time and its where Langan played mostly at underage. Thought both were very good at the weekend. Thompson got through an awful lot of unseen work as did Langan who has had an excellent super 8's so far.

Good man. Have you booked the hotel for Saturday or Sunday night.? I'll send on my number and you might do me a good deal, if you want to get rid of them...
