Mayo V Donegal. Winner Takes All

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Tension building....although personally I've mellowed a bit in terms of worrying about the result compared to what I used to be...life more important and all that.

What will be will be....we have endured so much heartbreak but also loads of great days out following this team..whatever happens, Mayo football keeps going.

A big welcome and safe traveling to the donegal fans and to the Mayo fans coming home for the game. Should be a great atmosphere and hopefully we get a great game. And if donegal beat us I hope ye go on and win Sam. Up mayo

Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "That's true for you, I think Declan will play a 2nd string team, no point risking injuries or suspensions before the semi final, it'll be a good run out for the panel anyway,give them a wee taste of championship football like."
Thanks for taking the post in the spirit it was intended. I could go on to explain to some that the reason I wanted the goalkeeper out is because he's one of your most important players but I don't think there is much point. I have Donegal to win in my prediction competition by the way but I've been wrong before. Match ups and the form of big Aido will decide it either way.

The prize on offer might have both teams in a relaxed mindset for this game,
unless Dublin throw a spanner in the works and let Tyrone have their day in the sun on Sunday ;;
Yerras will be fuming .

Good luck to both teams today: strong family connections means Donegal is usually my go-to team after Galway, but wouldn't be terribly upset if my Connacht neighbours do the province proud. Either way, hope it's a great game, safe travels to all, and Up Galway.

Haven't seen a hint of a Donegal team. I wonder are they over thinking this?

Thrilled to see Tom Parsons back in the Mayo team. Might only be on the subs bench, but to be there after his injury, fantastic. It has to give the rest of the team a lift. Maigh Eo Abú

Sky sports just spoke about Shaun Patton for 5 mins and the camera was focused on our sub keeper. Clueless!

What do ye make of mcbrearty asking for the black card there? Not sure I like to see it in our games or am I slightly too precious?

Because it was a black in fairness, left had pulling the jersey, right hand around the neck, good refereeing too
