My original thread title was much longer than that, it's been significantly condensed.

"Are posters using excessively long thread titles where, instead of using a short, snappy and to-the-point title, they practically outline their entire argument, rather than using the comments section of the thread which is what it's designed for?"

In a word, I wouldn't think so, not at all, only the odd poster now and again, when they lose the run of themselves, get the verbal diarrhoeas and dont know where to stop and keep repeating themselves or saying things in roundabout ways. To summarize, taking everything into account, I would be inclined to say almost definitely that the answer is no.

Its a forum. Lads are filling in time between the highs of a Saturday or Sunday following their county team bursting with anticipation of the next big day out. Of course they are going to go on a bit. Once its not being argumentative or just plain ignorant whats the harm?

Is there a limit on how long your thread title can be?
