Has Hurling In Division 1B During February And March Played A Part In The Inconsistent Championship Form Showed By Galway, Dublin And Waterford?

Replying To ballydalane:  "What I find with GAA fans is that they'll find any excuse why a team might have won or lost, even if the excuses are totally contradictory.

In hurling, the Munster champions would frequently lose their all Ireland semi final, being "rusty" after the 5-week lay off since the Munster final always cited as the reason.

On the other hand, Kilkenny winning their all Ireland semi final after a 5-week lay off was because they were "refreshed" and could "peak" for the semi final.

Likewise, if a team wins the All Ireland by a point after a tough route to the final, it's because they were "battle hardened". If they lose the All Ireland by a point it's because they were "burned out".

If a team wins the All Ireland by a point after an "easy" route to the final, it's because they were "fresh". If they lose an all Ireland by a point it's because they "hadn't been tested".

The excuses really do change to suit the result."
100%. It'll be spun whichever way is needed, to suit the narrative. How about doing some actual analysis on the game itself, and showing some key areas where it was won/lost.
