Group 2: Dublin Galway or Roscommon - champions Donegal/Tyrone or Cavan/Armagh - runners-up or qualifier Cork or Kerry - runners-up or qualifier
Ideal group for football box office: 1 Kerry Donegal or Tyrone Mayo ________?
2 Dublin Galway Donegal or Tyrone _________?"
I don't think mayo can make it into our group on the basis of Roscommon losing the Connacht final then Roscommon and mayo can't play again in the qualifiers having already met in the Connacht championship.

Oh right, so Mayo's course is set on making the group containing Dublin and Galway?

No not necessarily. They could draw the leinster final runners up and be in the group with donegal and Kerry. Mayo are more likely to end up in Dublin's group statistically as they have to avoid the rossies in round 4 of the qualifiers but could still land in with Kerry and donegal. Only rounds 3 and 4 of the qualifiers are restricted draws.
I wouldn't put it past the Rossies beating Galway if im honest.
That said even if they did loose in Connacht, the loosers of the provincials, go into the qualifiers and the stats of provincial loosers winning their next game in the qualifiers are really poor.
But be great to get Mayo in our group in Croker again, always a great days out. Also hopefully looking forward to a trip to Salt Hill or Hyde, two of my favorite grounds should we get that far.
Its a bit early to be talking about the groups as i dont think things will be linear with some strong teams in and to come in through the back door. Although we can have a loose projection.
I wouldn't be to worried about the make up of the group, in many ways you are better of having a tough group in the QF as its round robin, you have a better chance in the Semi, if you are alternating of a weaker group. The big teams will be targeting peaking right on the QF button.

If roscommon do beat galway and the beaten pro finalist manage to win their rd4 matches then your group would look like this:
Dublin Roscommon Cavan/armagh Cork
It would be carnage. Be grand for one of those other teams who'd likely end up having a cut at mayo/donegal in an all Ireland semi final.
