I met Anton before Christmas in a hospital I work & I sat & spoke with him for nearly an hour. He seemed happily surprised that I recognised him. Such a lovely man, he told me that he got more injuries playing golf after retiring from football than he ever did playing with Dublin. Wonderful footballer with huge skill & what a game he had in the '77 semi-final, scoring I think four points, which I said to him. Condolences to his family, friends & to Dublin GAA & supporters. Rest in peace Anton, thank you for giving your time to a Kerry man. Apologies for late post. bernard3 (Kerry) - Posts: 106 - 21/05/2019 21:30:48 2186449 Link 5 |
