Daniel Flynn Kildare

(Oldest Posts First)

What's the story with Daniel Flynn? I thought he's not playing for Kildare cause he's gone traveling? I'm watching him here playing for his club? Is he back?

If he's back surely he plays county he's probably the best forward in the game you just tell him to show up whenever he want's for training the man is lethal an absolute machine unmarkable has it all.

Originally planned on studying for the year, hitting the US during the summer and starting in a financial company in September.

He changed his plans, went travelling for a few months and is back now, only playing club football the last few weeks.

He's a young lad, if he wants to play for Kildare then he should be the first name on the starting 15. If not, then best of luck to him, quality player who has more going on with his life than inter county football.

He has been fairly adamant that he won't be playing for Kildare, not this year anyway. Massive loss. Hopefully we'll see plenty of him with an extended JTB run in the championship, they certainly have the players.

Daniel Flynn's brother Luke isn't too bad either. He had a great game today and was tg4 man of the match.

Yeah very good, the two games were very enjoyable Kildare football has kept its value's thank god.

Flynn is back in the country and isn't playing crazy, he's the difference between Kildare doing something really special this summer or having a poor summer he's that good. Surely they can sort something out ?

In fairness to O'Neill he had tried to entice him back but I think Cian is part of the reason Dan won't commit . Pity.

How have Johnstown Bridge not won a Kildare or at least get to a final the players they have on paper are very good ? Surely there's a Kildare in them ?

Two good games of high standard I thought. The two Flynns caught the eye. It's a real shame we won't see Daniel with Kildare this year. Surely the county board can do something about it?

They were intermediate up until a few years ago (2012 or 2013 I think). Over the last few years they've missed Sean Hurley, Paul Cribbin and Dan who all at some point played AFL.

Add in Keith Cribbin and Cathal McNally and they've a number of lads who've been around the Kildare team for a while. The same could easily be said about the likes of Athy and Celbridge though and both of those would be fancied ahead of Johnstownbridge for a senior title.

I think they won a senior title back in 1983. Don't think that they have appeared in once since apart from the intermediate one that they won a few years ago. Unlike previous Kildare intermediate Champions who went on to win Leinster titles recently Johnstown Bridge were knocked out by a strong Dublin team in the first round.
