I'm full of knowledge kid, I tried to tell you Mayo would have to much for our lads but you wouldn't listen.

Replying To TheFlaker:  "Great win. Excellent second half. Still need to tidy things up front but Cillian will help that. The likes of Coen isn't good enough. I had to defend Diarmuid O Connor on here many times but the lad is a class act. And Aidan O Se was excellent again. It's only the league but people were dying to have a pop had they lost another final. The same people will try and play it down now."
Brilliant win. I was questioning O'Connor's performance in the first half but he really turned it on in the second O'Shea hit some really good long passes into the full forward line. One thing I'd like to see when they got the 3 point lead that they hold onto possession a bit longer. and killed the game off. Overall a great performance especially in the second half.

Replying To realdub:  "Well done Mayo, great game and nice for them to lift a national title, badly needed. They did their best to lose it in the last few mins by kicking hail Marys into the Kerry square instead of holding the ball and working it in, but they just about got away with it and well done to them.
Very good performance from the young Kerry side and they should take a lot of positives going forward. Big summer ahead, and it'll be far from plain sailing for Dublin."
Boland twice,
It wont go unnoticed

Congrats to both teams on a fantastic spectacle. Serious intensity and desire from Mayo in that 2nd and showed the young Kerry team they have a bit of maturing to do yet.

Go on yew I'm delighted for ye bud, tear it up tonight.

As for our lads every day is a learning day and we learned today what we've known for a while now and that is that we have no intercounty standard midfielders ( well we have but he's in OZ )

This might be harsh but has James O Donoghue lost a yard of pace ? His game is all about pace if he's lost that he's in big trouble. Maybe he was just rusty to be fair he got on a lot of ball but didn't have that burst he's famous for. Kerry's midfield is average barry is overrated O Shea cleaned house. Gavin White will be a big help to that Kerry defense they need him , Mayo missing their best forward and that young lad MacDonagh their in great shape coming into Connaught confidence flying.

Replying To galwayfball:  "It pains me to say it but mayo have the best fans. They stuck with them through the bad times I can't think of any other gaa fans who have done that in such numbers. I talked to a taxi man in Dublin on the way to the semi final last year and he says he makes more money when mayo are in the final. He goes to the team's hotel and just picks up fans going back to town . Then picks up fans in town who want to go back and greet their team for their effort throughout the year. He can do that for hours . Hes never seen that with fans of any other losing team"
Mayo fans today reminded me of galway fans last year after da first super 8 game...it was like an all Ireland win. I hope they don't finish up like galway last year.
Congrats to mayo better team by far today..Kerry have the makings of a very good team its over to P Keane now to put the pieces together..how do we set up to feed dat ff line good ball.

James is gone clon, I've said it on here a good few times he's afraid of his life to take on his man Incase he gets hurt and it's time for PK to move him on.

He never really threatened today. Whenever he got the ball, he just soloed in circles for a bit and then passed to someone who was in no better of a position than he was. It could just be down to rustiness - we will find out in the Summer.

Yes we understand "it's only the league" but if Mayo lost it would have been the same story about a mayo team bottling a final in croke park. That is the reason we are celebrating. This mayo squad has won a national title in croke park. It doesn't mean we are now odds on favourites for the all Ireland but it's a step in the right direction.

Congratulations Mayo, greater big game experience really stood to them today.
Good reality check for Kerry and something to learn from.

Ah you have to give him a chance he's had a rotten run of injuries him and Geaney need to get their form back for Kerry to have any chance. Moran white Shaw Brosnan Burns all to come back in still a lot to be positive about ,the shouts of Sean O Se best footballer in Ireland were ridiculous, there's doing it on a wet February night in some tight county ground and there's doing it against Mayo and lee Keegan in CP. he's only a baby and he's going to be a star but that was a wake up call today for him.

I was in upper Cusack at the front row and as a neural thought it a decent match , when Mayo started to look up and kick pass Kerry couldn't handle it ,simple football can't see big sales in them Kerry jerseys ...

Good win for Mayo. With Aidan O'Shea controlling the tempo of the game for long periods and Keegan having young O'Shea under lock and key, it was only the failure of the forwards to convert a reasonable proportion of the chances created that kept Kerry in the game. The towering Clifford and the speedy O'Brien were impressive for the losers though.
