Tyrone Vs Cavan

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Never knew we had haters in offaly but there you have it. Will be tight game, high intensity from both sides. Cavan hasn't beat Tyrone in league or championship since 1983, some serious motivation there. This could be the weekend the hoodoo goes or maybe be not and Cavan and Offaly man will have to wait another while. Cavan should be a tough opponent for sure .

If anyone is clicking I think cavan might be. They were fierce unlucky in the first few games but the win last week will have released the pressure valve and the shackles are now off. I hope they don't take their eyes off the ball looking forward to the Monaghan game and the potential ramifications of that one. Beat what's in front of them this weekend and move on."
It' says you've 23 posts, or thereabouts I suppose, and 6 of them on this Tyrone v Cavan thread. Are you even from Offaly? Not sure how this game will go but I think we will win this game as it's a home game for us and we have a better team!
For somebody like you to come on here and say Tyrone haven't clicked in 10 plus years is laughable. We've picked up 4 Ulster senior titles in these past 10 years. We've just won the mc Kenna cup again and we were in last years all Ireland final. Not too bad for a team that hasn't clicked in over 10 years. Running your mouth on here like that only shows your bias, and a bit perplexing for an Offaly man it is too,and does not demonstrate any objective football analysis.

Don't think so, Mayo v Galway and Armagh v Armagh. Pity as it should be a good one

Hurts to admit it but I was seriously impressed with Tyrone last weekend. They have some pace and passing at speed albeit Monaghan hardly laid a hand on them. I would be shocked if Cavan manage to stay within 10 points of them.

Tyrone up by 4 but Cavan have a serious wind advantage in second half. Going to be very tight, Cavan in with a serious shout.

Tyrone playing poorly. Kicking a lot of ball into the full forward line and it isn't working

Tyrone the best team from start to finish. McAlliskey was an absolute stone wall red card and the ref bottled it. We'd still have lost but points difference took a battering playing 30mins with a man down.

Great result for us and just what we needed at this stage. Well done the lads.

Replying To tulachmhór:  "Massive game. Cavan looled absolutely superb and were a breath of fresh air against roscommon.

I've predicted it in the other thread and am going to stick with it, cavan to win with Tyrone unable to manage cavans unpredictability and tenacious attitude. Graham has made a significant difference and is extremely unfortunate to only have 2 points so far. Cavan seem able to mix it up nicely and I think Tyrone are too rigid to cope with this. Cavan also wont let Tyrone wander up the pitch without a glove put on them and kick nice points from 20 yards like they done last week.

I also said on the other thread that I can see a few 'big teams' in real relegation trouble come round 7. This match may add to that......

Cavan by 3"
Since we've all become acquainted with your uncanny ability to intuitively predict the way a game is going to be played out,and with a winner prediction included, would you do us all a favour and post your predictions each week so we can bet against ye and make a fortune :) good man.

To be honest I didn't see the incident so can't comment.

Tyrone better team but Cavan were in an excellent position at half time with only been 4 down.

Hopefully Kerry beat Monaghan tomorrow from a Tyrone viewpoint, should be enough to stay up. I hope!!!!

Replying To doratheexplorer:  "I don't like this lazy narrative that Tyrone are defensive. They kicked a lot more in All Ireland final than Dublin and it was a few minute spell that killed them. The best All Ireland final I remember was 2008. The puke football was a high press and not anything like a blanket. Same thing is happening Fermanagh. Tomas O Se criticising their play even though he hasn't seen them play this year. They scored 8 points from play in second half last week. So negative.

As for the game I think Tyrone will win but might be tight. Cavan are moving in right direction and even put it up to Tyrone in qualifiers last year.

The only antic I never liked seeing from Tyrone was two years ago when Cavan were well ahead at half time and Raymond Galligan killing Tyrone with kickouts so Tyrone put someone behind goals to throw balls out as he was taking kickouts."
Actually that was two young bucks who were messing about...probably knew what they were at...but nothing to do with Tyrone backroom team..
