Meath are good but I can see Cork winning this. Playing at home, desperate for points, everybody is having a go at Cork football, time for some Rebel pride in the jersey.

The omens are not good for Cork. They conceded 3 goals against Clare. Think Meath will shade it.

And the week or two before it was a continuous thread about Meath but that was fine with you, obviously.

Anyway I think we should move on, big weekend for all 8 counties it what is a very tight division 2,after this weekend it should be clear who'll be fighting relegation and who be fighting for promotion, looking forward to it.

Replying To gaelicgab:  "Meath and Cork are probably on par and I fancy a repeat result of their last meeting at Pairc Ui Rinn,. Don't forget Cork beat Meath in Navan last year so they have your number in recent meetings.

Top against bottom? It's not the Premiership where you've Man City against Huddersfield and 60 points between them. Donegal were top and Tipperary bottom going into the last round of games and we seen what happened.

There's little or nothing to separate the teams in this Division which I think has thrown up four draws already so why not another one this weekend?"
As I said I was interested in why, however Meath are a totally different team this year than last, yes still prone to the odd errors (as gifting donegal the win proved) however by mistakes you learn and I very much doubt we will leave cork without the full compliment of points and keep our position as the top team in a very tight division. That been said anything can happen.

Division 2 is so competitive and even it's nearly impossible to predict the games! Of the 12 games played in Division 1, I have predicted 10/12 wins with 1 draw and 1 loss letting me down! So I'll go with..... Donegal, Armagh, Kildare and Meath all to win!

Meath best player this year, James mcentee looks likely to miss cork game through injury, huge loss to Meath.

Donegal with close to a full deck would walk division 2.

Donegal will go up.

Meath are playing well and at the moment I'd fancy them to play Donegal in a league final.

We can do battle on here once again:)

That's what makes this game interesting. Cork need to win to avoid get dragged in to a relegation battle. But Meath have been in division 2 for far to long. So flipping it on its head Meath also need to show some metal to win to gain valuable points for possible promotion.

What excuse? I said what is known, the lad is injured he is a huge loss as he has been our best player this year and fairly destroyed donegal in donegal. He is a loss. However he will be replaced by either lynch or McCoy both are very decent replacement so I have no problem, we are not a one man team. We will still beat cork. Is that clear enough for you?

We haven't a out and out goal paocher though that can consistently get a goal. That is my only worry with this Meath team.

Yes. I think this game will prove once and for all that the complacency that has inflicted Meath football for far too long has been wiped away, for too long we suffered from the view we were too good for certain counties and believed we were better than the results were suggesting (I'm not going to mention any county but one in division two have that very same condition). As posts on this thread proves. We will go to cork and fight for every ball, there will be periods where cork are in top, how we handle this will be equally as important as how we handle ourselves when we are on top. I cannot bloody well wait. It's great to be in this position. I hope to see the return of harnan this week even on the bench, been very difficult on him with broken legs and has been a long road back so would be great to see him come on for a bit.

Indeed. Hope you are right. However lot of games to be played prior to that. I said in beginning we needed 10 points to be in the mix. That still stands.

This for me has a feeling of Down 2017 to me. They were on a terrible run of form that grabbed a few headlines. Meath went up to Newry as favourites expected to inflict more misery on a down and out team.

Down led the whole game and made Meath look very average.

Cork now seem like Down that year. A visit of a Meath team installed as favourites but still looking shakey themselves at times. Very worried of history repeating itself.

Never ever back Armagh or Kildare in anything. They are so unpredictable it isn't even funny
