Beating Dublin is neither here nor there. This is a big game in it's own right for GAA people in both counties.

I was really impressed by Tyrones game last night, and we will take a lot from that game , Donegal are already without PMCB and young Gallagher and I'm hearing also now langan. Tyrones experience should be enough here , which will take us into another All Ireland semi final , which hopefully this year getting a step closer , but ballabofey first , we should have enough .

We could have extra time in ballybofey in 2 weeks. Floodlight finish?

Of which I'm one! Of course it's a big game not saying otherwise, but ultimately even if you win to land Sam you would arguably have to beat Dublin, so I don't see how it's neither here nor there. Your season doesn't stop if you win in Ballybofey, if you lose of course it does, but if you win and don't land Sam the result is neither here nor there as the winner will end up with the same as the loser! Sweet FA!!

That's not good! What are you hearing about Gallagher and Langan?

Ho ho this will be spicy! The biggest GAA match ever played in Donegal I would say. I'm under no illusions as to how tough it will be to get a result. Tyrone have been bubbling along nicely in the qualifiers and put in a very creditable performance at the weekend against Dublin. There's no love lost between the two sides so we know Tyrone will bring their usual fire and fury.

For ourselves we are tipping along nicely too in spite of some cruel injuries to key men, the latest being Eoghan Ban's. I'm not sure as to the extent of it but hopefully it isn't too serious and he can play his part in two weeks time. We have a proud unbeaten record in Ballybofey so that might be worth a couple of points. I can see it being a game of very tight margins so whichever team is more composed and clinical will likely come out on top.

Push come to shove I'll give us a hesitant nod to win this by a couple of points. Murphy to land a couple of monster frees near the end to see us over the line!

I'm concerned about the physicality here in all honesty, I'm having nightmares of lads running down cul de sacs and being swallowed up by Tyrone defenders who then break quickly for points. I think we have grown and learned a lot this year so I hope this won't happen but it's the way I see us losing this game badly because in terms of just general forward play, Tyrone don't frighten me. It's the excellent swarm defence and breaking at pace that is scary.

Keep the pitch wide and stretch the play as much as possible. We can't be as poor with our shooting as we were in Roscommon, in that respect I think the Roscommon performance was good as we have a lot to work on. I think we played better defensively against Roscommon than we have all year with some great tackling. Eoghan Bán will be a big loss as will Langan if he is out. I'm hoping Neil McGee will be fully fit now that he got the majority of the game on Saturday as he will be needed.

Home advantage is a big plus, we have a proud home record in Ballybofey and I think the atmosphere will be electric. It will be a great occasion but I think it might be a step too far for our boys this year. I'm thinking a draw may be the result.

Tyrone do not need to beat Donegal in ballybofey or anywhere slse for that matter.

I'd be happy to sneak a draw and squeeze through on scoring diff

Tyrone for me, that Dublin game will bring us on a lot, it would need to as Donegal/Bonner has been waiting to put Tyrone to the sowrd when it really counts since he took over and can't wait for the chance. Home advantage is definitely a massive advantage, but no matter what spin you put on it Mc Breartys loss counter balances this. If he was playing I'd be more concerned the man was worth 5/6 points a game, indeed I would say Donegal would win if he was playing. Still not much in it, be no run away winners, just think we're farther down the line. As big Sean Cavanagh says it's like arriving in Galatasery for Tyrone! If we could just get the showers as hot as the reception we'll recive! Lol

Aye agree with ya. Can't see there being a lot in it either way. Like you say if we had a fit Paddy McBrearty we'd be slight favourites. But we can't use that as an excuse either. Others will have to step up. There are no ifs and buts anymore which is great. The focus is clear. We have two weeks to prepare for the biggest game of the year. I'm sure Declan and the lads will leave no stone unturned in their preparations. So if the boys go out and give their all that's all we can ask for. Leave nothing on the pitch and if that isn't good enough so be it. We'll tip the cap to Tyrone and wish them the best in the semi finals. But in saying that, I think we have the ability and the experience to beat Tyrone at the same time. Should be a cracker!

Another massive game especially considering the winner doesn't see a Dublin Kerry or Mayo waiting for them In the semi final, a massive chance to get to the All Ireland final here.

It is indeed a big chance for the winner of this game to get to an All-Ireland final. If I am correct one semi final is going to be between the winners of Tyrone/Donegal and Galway/Monaghan. These 4 teams will fancy their chances and dont think there would be a hell of a lot between them.

Getting ahead of ourselves a bit but the prize is big for the winner. On current form you would have to make Tyrone slight favourites but home advantage for Donegal has to count for something. Very hard game to call.

Donegal are brilliant in Ballybo, they have a neck for kicking very long range points there.
I don't think they have lost a game there in 8 years.

Maybe we need to bring back Justin McMahon for some Bully tactics on Murphy, still cant see a win for red heands here.
