I don't know why some people are so sure of Tyrone getting out of the group, is it because of a big win over a Roscommon team that offered zero resistance? Can't see anything but a Dublin win in Omagh, and then Tyrone have to go to Donegal and win, which is far from certain. patk (Monaghan) - Posts: 936 - 20/07/2018 13:21:39 2124003 Link 1 |

Ya they do alright and I wouldn't be shocked if the Tyrone v Dublin game ended in a draw but I'd still expect Dublin to top the group, I think Tyrone have shown some serious metal since the loss to Monaghan and mcbrearty is a massive loss to Donegal and unfortunately they only have one Michael Murphy.

Safe trip to the Kerry supporters! May the 'best team' win ... greysoil (Monaghan) - Posts: 965 - 20/07/2018 22:05:25 2124158 Link 1 |
At the quarter final stage last year Tyrone beat Armagh by 3-17 to 0-08 which was a winning margin of 18 points . This year Roscommon scored 1-03 very late on to defeat Armagh. Tyrone beat Roscommon by 4-24 to 2-12. That was a winning margin of 18 points . Are Tyrone any further on than they were this time last year ?

Wow massive call changing you're whole full back line in the space of a week considering Monaghan's strongest line is their full forward line McManus mccarron mccarthy , Kerry lose that's it for fitz especially with the calls he's making on this game , I'm still confident Kerry will win and be major challengers still in this years champo. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 21/07/2018 09:01:07 2124208 Link 2 |

A first win for Monaghan would surely spell the end of the road for Fitzmaurice. If that's not motivation then I don't know what is. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 21/07/2018 10:26:57 2124219 Link 1 |
I think fitzmaurice might go regardless how we get on this year as he has just become the principal in the pobalscoil, can't see him having time to do both to be honest.

Dublin will 100% win the group and then it's between Tyrone and Donegal and I just think Tyrone are further down the road in regards to team development plus like I said above mcbrearty is a massive loss.

Fitz playing Peter Crowley at centre back is the biggest mistake of all as Crowley is a wing back and he can't hold the middle of our defense but we have Gavin Crowley who is tailor made for center back but he probably won't play him, and if Morley is fit then he should play and if he isn't fit then he shouldn't be on the bench imo.

Probably the team I would have gone for too given all the injuries we have. Full back line looks very dicey, none of them have played much football in the past 2 months. Gavin Crowley looks promising but bringing in yet another lad who has no ball played would be too much. Tom O'Sullivan is class IMO and I am glad we will see him from the start. Lot of brave men on here as usual in the wake of a Kerry defeat. Just as well I've stayed away from here the last few days. TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 21/07/2018 14:11:10 2124257 Link 1 |
Two are enforced changes Foley injured Young suspended Crowley back in his own position it wasnt because Kerry are afraid of the Monaghan full forward line wfkerry (USA) - Posts: 933 - 21/07/2018 14:22:09 2124261 Link 0 |
I think Monaghan will rack up a big score tomorrow as this Kerry defence doesn't look like they will have the power or experience to stop them.

Look it's like Man Utd in the soccer - everyone likes to see yourselves and the Dubs out as it opens up the title for everyone. Take it as a compliment. We haven't even played in an AI final so this is huge for us to not only get to a semi but to potentially knock out a favorite en route. That said, I just don't think it will be that simple tomorrow!!

You're prone to a rant or two yourself, so if you can't take it then don't give it. Suck it up, you're grown man for crying out loud. At least you haven't hit the heights of last year when Mayo beat you with your carry on but there's still time.
