How is this myth still going? Extra balls came out for some of Beggan's kicks too. Simple reason is that there are no nets behind the goals in Clones and there was no crowd sitting behind the goal, so often when a ball was kicked dead, it would bounce back out. Quit with the conspiracy theories. patk (Monaghan) - Posts: 936 - 24/07/2018 13:16:23 2125666 Link 1 |

I've looked many times to see if there was an emoJi when reading some of the jibberish you post on here and there is one but I can't seem to use it on this site. I'll give you a hint , it resembles the top of an ice cream cone. Thanks for further confirming my point about referees and how it's always their fault when you lose or fail to win as has been shown to be the case again at the weekend. They're all against ye as usual. Boohoo. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 24/07/2018 13:39:17 2125675 Link 2 |
I would agree with you -no comparison between the two incidents. That is one of the major flaws in the analysis both during match and later. There should be no representatives on analysis panel from competing teams.

One ball kicked in and 3 came out a one point. Yeah coincidence alright. westkerry (Kerry) - Posts: 1250 - 24/07/2018 14:03:02 2125693 Link 2 |
The hermit is cool like ice cream all right. I bet everyone on here could guess what refs will be appointed for yer semifinal and final. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 24/07/2018 14:09:58 2125697 Link 0 |
As ever I'm deeply wounded by your opinion of what I write - I'm away now to take a long look in the mirror at myself and ask how can I be a better person, how can I strive to earn this anonymous Dublin posters respect -therein, I am sure, lies true happiness and a true sense of purpose for my life...

No, this comment is just hilarious on it's own merit history aside.

Anonymous,ha, in case you haven't noticed we are all anonymous. I doubt you will have noticed how Deegan actually favoured Kerry in the lead up to the goal by awarding a free which wasn't a free. Ye get plenty of calls from referees but just can't take it when it's pointed out. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 24/07/2018 14:50:13 2125733 Link 5 |
Ach sure we were just all excited to have the nobility of Gaelic football grace us with their presence up in Clones. The extra balls probably belonged to some young fellas hoping that one might brush against one of the the greats & guardians of the game.

I saw that excitement first hand, one particular gentleman in cowboy boots and matching hat, about 6 foot wearing aviator sun glass who politely told us to F our Kingdom welcome to our backgarden now boys. One more mature Monaghan man showed more manners in telling him to pipe down. Calling us the nobility of Gaelic football is only your frustration that you couldn't get the job done much like 07, 85 and was it 39? westkerry (Kerry) - Posts: 1250 - 24/07/2018 15:56:36 2125775 Link 1 |
I wouldn't call Brian Kelly a great of the game.

Monaghan did get job done and played Kerry off the field but for a bit of luck that prolonged your agony for another 2 weeks.

Now I won't start picking out individual supporters from Kerry - I could, but really feel it most inappropriate & distasteful & not a level that I would stoop to out of respec. My sentiment of your nobility status is, of course, honorable & sincere, Monaghan supporters well aware & realistic as to where we are as a team - an appraisal that perhaps you should do also on this current Kerry team. Ok to live on past glories, but the reality of the championship over the past number of years, warrents a look forward, as the game is moving on without the noble legends. greysoil (Monaghan) - Posts: 965 - 24/07/2018 16:38:18 2125795 Link 1 |
Nope you didint you couldn't see it out like 2007. You should have , you deserved too, but you didn't.

You'll have to wait until next year I think, come back to us when ye have progressed a bit beyond Ulster, all the best in Salthill, won't be easy for ye. Ye threw that game away against Kerry, stage fright kicked in the end, if O'Donoghue had swung his right leg at that last chance he had Kerry woulda sucker punched a win there, I don't think he is as good as he was though, but that long kick pass into Donaghy was pure class.

If you want to see rattled and deluded I suggest you take a look in a mirror mo chara. same old story with Monaghan, a mini version of Mayo.

Now you see I can see a disingenuous post like yours from a mile off. The interesting thing about that lad on the terrace was as soon as Clifford hit the net the mouthing stopped and out the gate he went. Your right about the game moving on, most people would argue the tactics introduced from counties like your own have ruined our sport as a spectical. westkerry (Kerry) - Posts: 1250 - 24/07/2018 17:42:08 2125818 Link 1 |
