I live in a large town in County Antrim that has a DUP-controlled council. Members of Arlene Foster's party fought and fought for years trying to prevent a GAA club being set up in my town. This is empty gesture politics from the DUP, they have a long, long way to go to try and make me forget their past. M Lyster (Antrim) - Posts: 464 - 24/06/2018 23:29:26 2114440 Link 3 |
Dear God, what a miserable shower. Glass always half-empty. Take the gesture, reciprocate, move on ffs. I'm a federal Republican, from a Republican family. My experience consistently has been that those who experienced the least are the most bitter today. Try growing up. It was nice to see Arlene there; Ireland and Ulster would be a poorer place without its Protestants. The shape of Ireland will be decided by world events and by future generations. Meanwhile, lightening up and having a wee bit of manners never harmed anybody. Just a shame about the result, predictable as it was. essmac (Tyrone) - Posts: 1141 - 25/06/2018 00:18:33 2114456 Link 3 |
