Suffered a horrendous injury today. Puts the game into perspective for me.

Wishing Tom all the best. Has both a difficult physical and mental test ahead with surgery and rehab. Hope we see him back playing ball soon.

In my opinion he's one of the most underrated players in Ireland. Hopefully not be the last time we see him play. Best of luck on the recovery!

I've always thought that too, totally underrated player. Great engine in him too. Hope the injury isn't as bad as it looked. Best of luck to him.

A huge loss to us indeed. Tom is a brilliant player and a really lovely fellow. Wishing him all the best with the recovery and please God it won't be too long before we see him back.

I really hope he's able to make it back. It will not be easy. He's a class act on the pitch and seems like a good guy off it too.

Tom Parsons is a prototype modern footballer. Big, strong and athletic and a fine ambassador not only for Mayo but for the GAA as a whole. He conducts himself very well and speaks articulately any time I've heard him.

I have no doubt that he will have the mental fortitude to come back from this. The rehab will be long and arduous but no better man to face it down and overcome it.

It must be an absolutely horrific injury if no one is sharing photos of it. Poor guy I hope he makes a full recovery and lines out for May again.

He has been a great servant to the team and a stylist midfielder over the past number of seasons.

Recorded match , honestly it was absolutely horrendous. You don't want to see it. I wish I could unsee it.
Best wishes Tom. Horrible injury. Hopefully you can make it back. Puts sport in perspective.

Poor guy, hopefully he will be able to walk properly first so. Just so unlucky for something like that to happen to him.

Great footballer, horrible injury. The guy is one of the best midfielders in the game, unrated and better than many who are given All-stars- a great ambassador for our games. You would like to have a Tom on your team. Wish you a speedy recovery.

Best wishes to Tom and I hope that your recovery and rehabilitation will go exactly to plan. It will be a long road back but you have always displayed courage in abundance and that will stand to you now in the weeks ahead.
