Replying To Llaw_Gyffes:  "Really looking forward to this game Sunday but the problem is I don't know what outcome I want. If Dublin were to win easily it would dispel the faint hope we have that they may be starting to slip just a little bit, even though it might lead to a little complacency on their part. And if Galway lose heavily, even though it might take the wind out of their sails, it will make us favourites for our game in May and we are not good at the favourites thing. On the other hand if Galway hammer the Dubs, even though it might reinforce the Dubs slipping bit, it might just annoy them and they might get Connolly back with a point to prove and come back better than ever. As for Galway, if they can hammer the Dubs it will mean they will be too good for our injured, recently injured and soon to be injured geriatrics in McHale Park. If it is a close game, whatever the outcome, it will probably suit both of them as it will be all the motivation Gavin will want to wake the Dubs up for the Championship and Galway will be as cocky as bedamned and flying come May. I just can't figure an outcome that would be a win, win for us. Maybe I'll just sit back and enjoy it as at least we're not involved."
Sorry you are so conflicted, just shout for Galway this once, hope ye win Sam if Galway not involved

One thing for sure is Galway won't hammer Dublin. The Galway players from last year's under 21 team that ended Kerry's years of unbeaten dominance will relish this match.
I feel Dublin will try to do on to Galway as they did to Tyrone last year so Galway need to be able to keep Dublin quite in the first half . If they can do that they will grow in confidence and we will have an exciting match.

No Shane Walsh, Liam Silke, Ian Burke, Michael Daly and goalie Bernard Power. All will be starting on May 13th more than likely. Basically if that is the starting team tomorrow we are down 1/3 of what most would think is our first fifteen.

I can't see Galway beating Dublin though it should be a competitive game, anyway the idea of league 'finals' is a joke, if you top any league then you won the league, just a way of gathering more cash I suppose.

Not impossible, I think he will want Macker to steam roll and throw a bit of muscle at the blacket. I think Mannion has been carrying a knock could come in for Macker in the second half. Bench will be interesting, I wonder will Con be togged out.

Agreed , however Dublin topped the league last year , but Kerry took the title.
Don't recall you on here last year complaining about finals is a joke.

I love people who stick their necks out and make bold decisions.
Dublin are everyone's favourite and the way they destroyed the blanket defence in the past would make you worried for Galway, however Galway have lighting fast players so I am going to stick my neck out .
Galway will score a goal
Galway will not loose by more than 5 pints which is the spread that the bookmakers are offering.

BESt of luck to all teams today , Galway you'll know more after today exactly where you're team is at , you only really know by playing Dublin in Croke Park.

The Dubs love to build it from the back with the short kick out..so what do you do? Push up on their defence so that they have to kick it long and take the 50/50 chance at midfield or let them build it from the back and retreat everybody into our own half and be patient and disaplined...following everyone of their players as they move it from left to right waiting for a opportunity. They love to have space and play it fast and flamboyant so slow the whole style of the game right down pack the defence stick to each individual like glue and frustrate them....OK it's ugly to watch and unexciting but we have seen what the Dubs can do to a team if you let them cut loose, Keep the shackles on them!!
