Likewise in Galway. If one leaves from Cleggan its a 4-5 hour journey. Longer from north Derry or Antrim. It's not just the travel, home games give ppl who can't travel a chance to see their team once or twice a year.

Personally I can get over at this moment in time not having games in Galway, I would hazard a guess that we need Leinster more than they need us, and that being in the Leinster Championship has been brilliant for Galway. For me the main priority at this moment in time has to be our Minors and U-21s also getting access to the Leinster Championship, it has to be all or nothing, Leinster counties can't pick or choose what Galway teams are allowed enter the championship. Finally in regards to Galway getting home matches, yes it would be great, although while Galway city is a far more attractive place than other towns in Galway, the main stadium should never have been built where it was in Salthill. Salthill is an absolute nightmare for big games, it's nowhere near a motorway or main roads, and they would have been far better off either selling off Pearse Stadium and building a new stadium on the outskirts of the city, or redeveloping Ballinasloe and Tuam?
