Kieran Donaghy is Immune to refereees

Donaghy was just trying to protect himself but certainly could have been more clever about it. We will need especially if its Mayo next if Geaney or Donoghue fail to perform.

If he does get a ban then can have no complaints.

What was he doing near a clothes-line? To be serious (and it's difficult having read your post) there wasn't a single tackle of that nature yesterday. Yes there were a couple of times where a player was tackled chest high and pushed the tacklers up over their shoulder. In no way, unless you are on the bluff, could you deem such tackles as 'clothes-line' tackles.

Spur of the moment stuff, merited a tick and a warning to settle down; nothing more. Both of them at it. Yellow would have been harsh. Forwards get dogs abuse, and Donaghy gets his share of it. He may be getting on a bit, but Donaghy can still create pure havoc!

The Ref spoke to both players after the incident so must have seen it end of story

You are right though if Keegan or Connolly done something similar it would have 4 or 5 pages of comment here and people would be ridiculing them. Someone made the point on the SG last night that Diarmuid has form, Well Donaghy isn't exactly a saint either. But great players can play on the edge and sometimes it boils over. When Donaghy's number went up yesterday, I was on the hill and the first thing Donaghy and Kyne did was shake hands sportingly and donaghy went to the touchline. the players themselves forgot about it, had a mutual respect and left it at that and I think the authorities should do the same and suspect they will."
That was some tulip on SG with probaly the dumbest most idiotic comment ever made on SG and that is saying something I think he was actually smirking at himself

Was that the time he went to ground as if shot from the grassy knoll again?

If Donaghy gets banned it will be karma.
I remember seeing him running after the ref a few years ago highlighting an eye gouge which Philly McMahon then got banned for after the event.
Knye did not make the same drama trying to get Donaghy sent off

So you're basically saying Star should have just stood there and let that guy tear at his eye in 2015?

You've some warped ideas about what lads should be allowed get away with on a pitch!

Donaghy said at the home coming that what happened on the pitch that day should stay there so he wasn't looking for McMahon to be banned.
Don't compare those two incidents they are very different.
You lad are just another Mayo poster who'd love to see him banned rather than watch through your fingers at how your FB would deal with him considering you have never been able to before.

Donaghue deserves anything he gets He pulls and drags every defender that marks him Pick any game the man has ever played and you'll see him holding the jersey of the defender in front of him Then puts the big paw up to grab the ball But he'll be fine Croke Park will let it slide

If you have experienced trauma at the hands (well, paw, as you put it), it's ok to vent!

I don't know what Donahue has to do with this but there is always going to be grappling going on under a high ball if you played the game you'd know that,

Look at the way the midfielders jostle for position for the throw in, it's a contact sport and 9 times out of 10 star is being fouled when under the high ball but he's a big boy and he can take care of himself, he has to.

Closelined Marty McMahon from Clare last year and not even carded. Slam dunked Michael Murphy to ground in league game. no black card issued. I think refereers fear Kerry. You see the backlash when Joe McQuillian and David Gough when made big decisions against Kerry. Gough had to publicly apologies to Kerry

It's Kerry joke season again if this was a game of football between Waterford and Wicklow and an opposing player did exactly the same it wouldn't make the posting forum here. Typical because it's Kerry. If your a full back and think you can take on Donaghy you better think twice!!!

Because the GAA's disciplinary structures have been known to base their judgments on what's written on Hogan Stand? Grow up FFS.

So you're admitting that Kerry get a lot of bad decisions against us from refs?

But we all knew that anyway, you should pay a visit to sports file and see some of the pictures from the game the one with Johnny Buckley is quite interesting and he got no free for it.

Thankfully Philly doesn't think like that!
