Yeah, saw it posted on your forum after our match by 'you know who' but none of you bought it. Have to say theres a lot of Meath posters genuinely wishing well for Kildare mind you aren't accused of having a agenda!

Huge Kildare fan but don't tell me this young team (that looks so promising) is going to be infected with the same bug that afflicted the county team over so many years.
That is the unbelievable inconsistency that seems to hang around the Kildare scene. At the LF they turned up with fire in their bellies carried the game to the masters and but for a few unfortunate slips could have pushed the Champions right to the wire.
From the throw in last night we had a totally different Kildare team showing none of the appetite or commitment that they showed in abundance in the LF. Why start off by giving such respect to Armagh. On paper Kildare had the record to indicate that they would handle Armagh over 70 minutes Instead of the dynamic performance we saw them display against the AI Champions we had cagey negative play, slow build up possession football, that didn't make any real impression on a well prepared Armagh side.
Unfortunately the man that injected the essential ingredients which are needed for success was leading his native county in opposition.

The style Kieran McGeeney developed within the Kildare squad during the great years of 2007-2013 where we saw a lovely blend of the intense power game built on style and a real will to win. Kildare appeared in the AI Quarters every year while he was in charge and but for some GUBU decisions by the officials he would most certainly have lead Kildare to Leinster's and Sam..

Kildare talented young squad must develop this intensity and desire if success is to be achieved at the top end. If you arrive on Championship knockout day without your "A Game" then your 5 points down already
Sadly this was clearly the case on Saturday night Cian has got to turn this around and quick the NL starts in February and I don't see anything coming too softly in Division 1

The reason Saturday night was so disappointing is that it showed up every flaw associated with Kildare football. The complete lack of conviction. The absence of a any killer instinct whatsoever. As usual we have plenty "nice" footballers that have no idea how to win a tight games.

But nothing comes from nothing. Of all teams playing last weekend, Kildare were the only team playing with no players with Ireland medals at any level in their back pockets. If you can't win underrage you have no chance at senior. No all Ireland at any level since the 60s, with the 4th highest population in the country? Absolutely pathetic for a supposedly "footballing county".

This team won't learn and will not be any wiser next year. The spine of this team threw the best chance the county ever had of winning an all Ireland when At u21 level they should have strolled to an easy all Ireland in 2013. Plenty of talent, but talent wins very little. If a county doesn't know how to win then there is no point in competing.

Imagine if Dublin had that attitude after 1995 when they won no all Ireland for over 20 years. I agree that we need to develop a killer instinct but throwing your hands in the air and giving up is ridiculous. Give these lads a chance, it's the least they deserve!!

Daith, you can't just come out with a statement like that and leave it hanging there. What Monaghan players have all-Ireland medals ?
