Replying To St.Conleth:  "Agree with all you say Aido, except putting one over on McGeeney. He gave it everything while in Kildare and put a bit of pride back in the jersey. Armagh will be well prepared thats for sure."
Reads badly perhaps. Didn't mean that in a spiteful context at all. :-)

Don't think Kildare players will be carrying any particular baggage over from the Leinster Final as many teams would be from losing a provinicial final which then leads it difficult to lift themselves for a qualifier. Whilst disappointed with certain elements and spells within the game they felt they gave a decent account and it was always going to be a near impossible task given the stage of development they are at compared to Dublin.
To put it bluntly I think Kildare have a better team than Armagh and provided their heads are right they should have 4 or 5 to spare.

If the heads are right I think that Kildare will shade it. Our consistency this year compared to last season gives me hope that we can win. Having achieved all that we would have wished for (as supporters) at the start of the season; promotion and Leinster finalists, it won't be the end of the world for a developing team to lose to Armagh. On the other hand now that we have come this far, it would be very disappointing not to reach to the Quarter final and get a chance to measure ourselves against a team of Tyrone's caliber.

Thanks heavens the hysteria and outrage surrounding Kildare getting a player off a card that would have ruled him out of this game has quietened down!!

Yourselves or Armagh. Well, I'd modify that statement actually. Out of the four provincial winners, I'd say the big 3 fall into that category. Not Roscommon. Then again, as I said, just an opinion and I've no crystal ball.

Not a peep about Kevin McKernan though.

Typical anti-Kildare agendas in the media all because of who it was...

There's nothing in your original post to suggest it was an opinion, it's clearly stated as if it was a fact.

How could it be anything other than an opinion, however presented? If I had the facts to hand I'd have ownership of a time machine and I'd milking the bookies. Seriously no need to be so precious.

Kildare much too powerful here you would feel, however, will be a good indicator as to where both teams are at present!

Whilst Armagh have won a few games on the trot, it has been against mediocre opposition and in some cases they struggled. Armagh are still a division 3 team. Kildare are division 1 and we know there is a massive gulf between division 1 and 3. It can not be denied that Kildare is a major step up and for Armagh to win they would need to be several levels above what they have been to date. Armagh have potential, but at this level the work rate needs to be at the max from start to finish. Kildare are a big strong, fast moving team. Armagh will need to shut down the runs through the middle and move the ball long and quick into the forwards with good support coming through when they win possession. If they retreat into the slow lateral play we have seen so much of this past 3 years it will be exposed at this level.

The aul flowerbag jerseys are getting a bit tatty at this stage. Rumours are that the Co Board have sourced new self raising ones for Saturday to help us power past Armagh!

As a Fermanagh man said to me on the phone today "Armagh are gonna sicken a good team yet". Armagh haven't really shown their potential yet but are still there. There is one big performance in this team (despite the constant write-offs, especially from our diving midget neighbours) and i have a feeling they may just cut loose as Kildare will want to go and play a bit of ball. Bring on the diving midgets!

I'd expect us to pull it out of the bag with 4-5 to spare.

We should be to powerful in midfield and the experience of playing the dubs in croker and putting in a decent performance will stand to the team.
