And I prefer GAA to soccer, that has nothing to do with the points being made. It's actually worrying to think that you are not a child who just really wants nothing more than to play for Dublin. Otherwise you need to get out more, maybe travel a bit, see other cultures, like ROC. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 7907 - 19/07/2017 20:49:42 2019549 Link 2 |
Can't agree with you flaker, I am with hill on this 100%. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 19/07/2017 20:58:44 2019560 Link 1 |
to be fair, its not just Dublin, but there seems to be a contingent from there who can see no wrong in any actions from their countymen.

Murphy is one of the top footballers the country has ever seen. Easy enough to say that all the same when he knows it isn't really an option! The poster I am talking to has had no experience at any level but can say for sure he wouldn't do what Jim did. Like how would anyone know that?

Now I do know that Murphy is a genuine homebird so maybe he wouldn't have gone but it was never an option so it really is easy to say that. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 7907 - 19/07/2017 21:32:21 2019590 Link 1 |
the morals bit was sarcasm in case you missed that one, im motivated by plenty of things in life. But while we're on the topic of morals you seem to look down your nose at a man who has a passion for sport and wants to excel past his local area. Just because you dont like soccer you ridicule those that do? How do you know the man isn't happier in Glasgow or wherever he choses to work? you're talking nonsense, just because JMcG has it easier now doesnt mean he didn't when he was managing Donegal. are those years just erased from existence now to suit your rants? Not that you'd have to worry about playing there ;)

i think thats an extremely simplistic viewpoint to have, he put his players in the best position to succeed,

you said we werent a defence first side, under gilroy we were, and theres no need to try and silence those with a different opinion to you, you belong on a facebook comments section with that kind of attitude

seems someone really isnt a fan of jim mccguiness yet is happy out with us dominating leinster quite similar to how celtic dominate scotland

by mcguinness standards i think the article was a bit overly strong/reactionary, hes normally a decent bit more measured

it really is funny to see this thread turn into an anti mcguinness/anti soccer rant, look what charlie said was stupid and hypocritical seeing the style of play we played under gilroy..the amount of hatred towards mcguinness by certain people i dont quite get or understand alano12 (Dublin) - Posts: 2208 - 19/07/2017 23:23:58 2019662 Link 0 |

is it really though? If a player from my own county acts a fool I'll call him one. does that mean im not a fan of my county??

So I take it you feel everybody who decided to play inter county and particularly those who played for some 15 years like andy moran, stephen cluxton, tomas and marc o se had no goals in life. a gaa person who has little interest in soccer would be more accurate, I know it seems hard for you to understand that. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 20/07/2017 08:19:20 2019724 Link 0 |
you prefer gaa to soccer but cannot understand why somebody would rather play gaa than soccer????????? so anybody who decides to play inter county football is a child in your book? and your getting me confused with another poster with your rory o carroll references. for your information i have seen a lot of places around the world no problems there. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 20/07/2017 08:25:31 2019726 Link 0 |
