Replying To endgame:  "He might have seen Cody roaring and shouting at Derek McGrath down the sideline during the first half and he might have thought that a manager with 11 All-Ireland titles should show more grace. That might be the source of his delight for Cody as Kilkenny go out of the championship."
Them poor two angels, McGrath and his side kick Shanahan, sitting there all quiet. While that nasty beast Cody upsets them.

Fair play to the Desie, hope they have a long summer!!"
The first weekend of June 1996 pre the qualifiers. Beaten by Wexford in the first round.

Kilkenny were beaten semi finalists in 97. Clare beat them.

Fact? Listen to the little people who have emerged from their holes to tell the world what a nasty person Cody is. How many years have you waited?

The exchange I'm referencing was certainly iniated by Cody.Shanahan can certainly be a plonker as well on the sideline and onto the field but I'd expect more grace from an 11 time All-Ireland winning Manager who's seen it all before.

A watershed moment in a crazy topsy turvy GAA year, you have to congratulate Waterford, anyone who has sat among their supporters will understand the crazy infectious madness that possesses Waterford fans. I look forward to the rest of the championship, and you its so crazy this year I think I'd put money on Mayo winning Sam.

Initiated by Cody? Were you at the game? Sitting right by the exchange, witnessing it all?

Now now arock,. Things might be a bit "crazy topsy turvy" this year. But Mayo for Sam?

no need to be posting that you got such gifts for your 50th on this forum...comment on game is enough..no need for all the details of why you were there and the golf etc...recession is right..

Replying To Cockney_Cat:  "Let? You obviously know nothing about Kilkenny hurling.

PS: Well done the Déise."
Obviously about as much as a Kilkenny man knows about football!! Im only from north Kerry after all, sure a well versed hurling man like yourself would know how we break every hurley stick we see around there!

Take your beating you've had an amazing generation of players who went on far longer than most teams would but Waterford were the better team tonight, they just had a crisis of confidence towards the end

Unfortunately it's typical Irish begrudgery. But nothing will alter the fact that he has managed a team to 11 all-irelands in 19 seasons. To quote Napoleon ' these facts are granite: the tooth of envy is powerless here'.

couldn't help it, smiling like a chesire cat pardon the pun kk fans, but being from a football county that would burn every hurly if they could it's great to be able to take in so many great games in one weekend. If it weren't for the presents I would only have been at the munster final, guess sometimes they do be listen to my rants in the kitchen. On a side note fair play to kk who battled like demons to get to extra time but maybe the mileage told at the end. Has been some 20yr run for them and cody and we can only admire their achievements. Going off track again what a game from the tipp footballers to oust cavan, going from the reports they really blew cavan away, nice to see a team playing football for a change.

Someone else quoting Napoleon, I'm in love!

Who the hell would ever dare say anything about BC, loved him and McGrath squaring up. He should be prowling the Kilkenny side line for the next half decade yet

Congrats to Waterford. This could make them. Also one of the best supported counties in Ireland. Let them loose now Derek McGrath with a style more akin to their U21s in 2016 than a system built on fear.

It's a long time since Kilkenny were out of the championship this early but it must be even longer ago since they had so many mishit shots in a single game, it was very strange to see from them and it was often under little pressure. They remain great battlers but in terms of hurling skills this squad of players are unrecognisable from previous outfits.

Well done to Waterford. They have not beaten Kilkenny since 1959 I believe so they are bound to be happy.

Kilkenny have won Leinster minor and under 21 so they will not be going anywhere. I don't see them dominating to the same extent (if at all).
