They can play some great football at times, for instance the drawn game against Tyrone last year and some of the match against Monaghan this year. I think if they could scalp one of the big teams in Ulster then it could move them up a level. Do you think that it is because there is a lack of leaders in the team as the talent is there?"
Yep the talent is absolutely there.

We lack a consistent scoring forward but still score plenty from all over the field.
It's closing out games that we have a serious issue with.

Our kickout strategy needs fixing. We've one of the most accurate keepers in the country but zero movement out the field. That can be coached. Easily.

We're naive (see McManus goal as prime example). Again, can be instilled in the players (ludicrous that an intercounty footballer needs to be thought this!).

But leadership is an issue and there's a few players in the county I can think of who could make an impact off the bench in games like these and close games out. If the manager can get them to commit, maybe we can take that next step.

Thanks for ridding me of my ignorance there Tipp11. I always had it that he was John Kennedy's son too, I don't know where or who I heard that from. Better to know now than not.

So Colman and Jack are John's sons?
