Cork kicked the ball more than Kerry today. And Tyrone will beat Kerry if they meet later on.

Well done to Kerry on the 5 in a row. But they have been lucky over the last 3 years. All the finals have been in Kerry- in Killarney. Killarney is a beautiful place no doubt. But because of build of the new stadium Cork have been at a disadvantage. A new stadium hopefully means a new era for Cork GAA!!!!

Huge advantage over the last 100 years for Kerry playing in a hurling province. Dublin dominance in leinster has been over the last 12 years not 100. System is a joke 2 games and into a quarter final, 4 weeks to put the feet up. Absolute farce."
How many AI's would we have if we got every game in Killarney?

And we won't mention all the other lorry load of advantages (money, jobs, population, home refs etc)

If the GAA put the same time and massive resources into Cork they would be another Dublin are now, but there is no intent on the GAA doing that

Replying To corkcelt:  "Well Thank God that's over, had been dreading it. I can relax & enjoy the hurling now.
Not a lot can be said about Cork Football, we urgently need " outside of Cork Management".
I'd be looking to either Kerry or Ulster for new Manager.
Re Kerry, as Danny said earlier, excellent up front but suspect at the back.
Cork created a number of goal chances but couldn't convert any, a better team could have taken 3 or 4 goals off that defence."
True, but Kerry should have gotten a few goals themselves. They could have upped their game a couple of gears if they needed to. The management also made a lot of substitutions, which disrupted the game in the final quarter. Hopefully any defensive weaknesses will be addressed for the quarter final.

Who's dominant in Leinster? Even when Dublin were not winning there was only ever a few counties at any given period capable of winning Leinster. Meath had their period of dominance, Kildare and Offaly also had some success. But never in the same period. That's it. For a province with 12 counties that;s a poor state of affairs.

All 4 provinces are the same. In Connacht Galway used to dominate, then Mayo etc etc. In Ulster different counties at different times were contenders for the Ulster Championship, Down, then Armagh, Tyrone, Donegal. There has been much improvement in Munster with Tipp and Clare in particular. getting stronger.

However, no matter what format the Championship takes, there will only be a handful of counties with a realistic chance of winning the AI.

Replying To jacktheDub:  "As I said Dublin have dominated the last 12 years not 100. At least in leinster you have to play at least 3 games to get to the quarter final and Dublin will be playing a div 1 next year in a prov final. This is a Cork team who beat Waterford by 1pt and scored 1pt against Tipp in the first half. Joke of a province. 79 titles in a hurling province less than 50% have been converted into all ireland's and I would be sure that is down to the fact they have had too many cake walks in munster and have not being properly tested when they meet a footballing county when they come out of a hurling dominated province."
Dublin have been tested then have they?

"Cork kicked the ball more that Kerry". Right, in a parallel universe perhaps. Definitely not in Fitzgerald Stadium yesterday.

Look lads, Kerry are brilliant but they are a football county in a hurling province.

And Meath are a team in a province with no football teams outside of Dublin. Not too hard for any team to make at least the leinster final with any average group of players

Yet Clare and Tipp are better and have achieved more than any Leinster team has in 15 years

And thats before going into all that Cork have accomplished in that period.....

Lads, I'm not trying to have a cut at ye. The fact is Kerry are in a six team province where hurling is the no 1 sport in the other five counties. That's great for Kerry, always has been.
Kerry are football kings, they make the most of this advantage. In life not everybody makes the most of what they have, you could never say that of Kerry.

Told ye it would be a mismatch.
This Cork team is horrrrrrrrrendous.

Kerry were so easy on the eye and really enjoyed them.
But as I have mentioned in the past Kerry can play beautiful stuff or dance with the devil too when needed.
Cork were just so bad that Kerry didn't need to get involved in any needle

As for this argument about Kerry having so many titles because they only play in Munster.
Galway were automatically in an AI hurling semi final every year, all they had to do was win 2 matches to be the chams.....I dont see them at or near the top of the hurling roll of honour.
